Hybrid monopod/tripod
Getting into photography and received a 7D camera with a tripod. Tripod was broken and so I was looking into a hybrid monopod/tripod. Bearing in mind value to cost I was fortunate to be able to find this K&S tripod that does all the above. Aluminum body and ability to turn into monopod. Can flip center post so you can get that low to ground clean shot. I’ve been using. For past couple days and coming from the broke. Tripod to this new hybrid is truly night and day difference. I would highly recommend for anyone whom is starting out in the hobby of photography

Excellent head. Not great leg latching design
I actually took the head off this tripod and mounted it on another brand's legs (which had a deficient head design). Building that "hybrid" allowed me to have the better head unit mounted on the better legs. You might have to do that too to get the final setup you're looking for.

Used for hybrid conference
I purchased 60 of these for an academic hybrid conference. I was researching the Owl unit for our conference Firenze, but at a cost of $1,000 per unit, it was not feasible. I found this unit and tested for our hybrid conference. They work wonderfully for our use case. They have a great speaker range and the camera is great.

Magic, Great Investment
Bought these to hook up to my laptop while doing Hybrid Zoom meetings at church. By Hybrid, I mean on Zoom with other people in the room. My laptop speakers were not loud enough for attendees to hear what the Zoom members were saying. These did the trick.
