Sturdy and lightweight
Got this for my photography studio. It’s really lightweight and surprisingly stable and sturdy for its weight and price. When shooting timelapses outside you need a really stable tripod and this one achieved good results. I Like the ball head and it’s nice case.

Better ball head than original version
I purchased the original model (the one without the silver ballhead on the top) last year for a 3 week trip to the UK. It worked well for the first two weeks but on the last week ballhead broke and camera was loose. This latest model with the silver ball head on the top is AMAZING! It is still tight after 2 separate trips of heavy use. I use this on my Canon G9X... Perfect for lighter cameras!

Great accessories for the price
Comes with great accessories for the price. Only complaint I have is that the tripod already snapped on the swivel ball where the camera gets mounted on.

Terrific!!
A real gem. After much searching for an Arca-Swiss style ball head for my tripod that can handle my 500mm tele.... I decided to take a chance, save some money and give the Sirui a shot. Best decision I ever made. Beautiful action, quality construction and all at a MUCH more reasonable price than anything even close to this level, IMHO.

A bit flimsy, even for Apple iPhones
When I first got this it felt very flimsy, and it is. After using it, I would not use this in any sort of windy situations. Sure is is very lightweight, but you get what you pay for. The ball head isn't removable, and the tripod can easily blow over - iPhone can act like a sail. I have since gone back to my Manfrotto Befree Tripod, which is very solid and can hold a medium size DSLR camera, and is only 500g heavier, but much more stable.

Great value!
Did a lot of research before buying this. For the price and all the features, I'm glad I went with this tripod. Feels very well built and high quality, if a bit on the heavy side. Not an issue for me as I just throw it in the truck with the rest of my gear. Very stable, and great ball-head included. I would definitely buy again if need be, but my guess is it will last a long time.

Sturdy and Reliable
After a few months of use, I am quite happy with the K 30X Ball Head. It has a solid fit, feels sturdy, and is holding true to Advertised qualities. Adjustments and movements are simple, smooth, and reliable.

Not as light as the non-EVO Pixi, but much more ca
I bought this (originally) to replace my non-EVO Pixi tripod -- it's a bit less compact, a bit heavier, but much more versatile. As with the original, it's built from a mix of aluminum (leg cores, ball head's ball) and plastic (the rest). But the EVO model brings 5 leg lengths and two leg angles, and can also handle heavier cameras vs. the original. Both models have good build quality, I'm expecting years of use from "the new guy."So, unless weight and space are at an absolute premium for you, this is a great little tripod.Just the same, I've decided to keep my "old" Pixi alongside this one -- if only because I can still toss the original in a coat pocket.

As close to the ideal ball head for still photogra
This is turning out to be as close to the ideal ball head for still photography as I have found so far. For me, the main problems that it solves are ease of use, packable weight, and reliability. What I have found most annoying about most of the ball heads out there is that every time I get the head properly adjusted, tightening the locking mechanism causes the head to move. If they moved the same way every time, at least I could compensate for that, but that is not how it happens; the movement is always random and unpredictable. With this head, when I release the lever, the head stays where I put it — provided the tension is enough to hold the weight of the camera and lens, of course. The variable tension is a very important feature. It is something to play with and get familiar with before actually using the head to take pictures. I imagine it taking no more than a half hour or so of experimentation to get up to speed with that for still photography. I doubt very much this would be a viable option for video. Similarly, I don't see it as an optimal head for panoramas, although with a little practice, I can see it would be possible. In the horizontal position, I have found this head to be remarkably stable, so much so that I have little desire to test how it performs in the vertical or "joystick" orientation. Someone else will have to answer any questions about that. This head loses a star because, for my purposes, it has what so many other heads have, a bias towards downward angles, rather than upward. A simple work-around is to mount the camera such that the handle is aligned with the lens. The head can then be operated with the handle in front, rather than from behind or to the side. Again, this is quite viable for still photography, but probably not useful for video. In regard to the mount, I find greater versatility and sanity in standardizing on the Arca-Swiss system, so I have added a light-weight Arca-Swiss compatible clamp atop the supplied Manfrotto plate. It works for me, and YMMV.
