This tripod head delivers exactly what the product description says it will and that is a very rare occurrence these days! I purchased this gear head shortly after I injured my shoulder and found it difficult to accurately adjust a typical ball head and this has made my landscape photography fun again and quite frankly better. The gear head allows for both macro and micro adjustment so it is as fast as adjusting a ball head, but much more accurate. And the three levels make setting up for a panoramic shot a breeze! This is an excellent choice for landscape photography, astro-photography and more.

The build quality is very good and that is typical of K&F products. The adjustments are precise and consistent and when you lock it in, it stays locked in, no slip or drift. The adjustment knobs, both macro & micro, are easily gripped even when wearing gloves and out in the cold. The only concern is the gear heads weight, but while it is a tad heavier than say a ball head it is considerably lighter than most if not all of its competition and it still has a high quality build!

When I was looking for a gear head I was put off by the price of them in general but K&F was the lowest cost I found. Now I have to admit that actually worried me at first but I do trust K&F and after using this head for quite some time I must say that I am thrilled at the usefulness and quality of this unit for such a reasonable price.

If you are looking at geared tripod heads you would be well served getting this one. I know you'll be as I am with mine.
