Simply brilliant! Clever design, well made, sturdy.
This is a really clever product, even though it is a bit of a niche. It's an Arca-Swiss compatible plate and anodized Aluminum - so it's durable and heavy duty. But you have to check your tripod head. If it's too wide this plate won't fit. If the area where the plate locks in is longer than 1 7/8" this plat won't fit. There are two 1/4-20 mounts and a locking screw on the bottom that can prevent the plate from seating. I have four Arca-Swiss style heads - it fit on three of them. The one it did not fit on is an off-brand model.When flat, everything is locked together. Pulling it apart makes one think of Optimus Prime as it transforms to a cell phone holder.But do you need it? This is a really niche product - if you use a camera and a cell phone, and don't want to haul around a camera mount for your tripod. If you need something like that - or just want a really nice quality phone holder that folds totally flat, then go for it.
