Small and unobtrusive
Currently I have this mounted on the deck near the lake but I previously had it mounted across the road in a woods but the woods wasn't my property.I had another brand trail camera a few years back and it was twice the size of this one. Love the small size of this more, so I can easily hide the camera (with included strap).What they don't tell you is this can use either 4 AA or 8 AA batteries, which aren't included. If you use only 4 AA's, you're limited to daytime shots. It also needs a microSD card (up to 32 GB), also not included.Also, using alkaline batteries probably isn't the best idea, they run down pretty fast. I'll probably invest in a set of rechargeable batteries.

Good woods camera
My old cheap camera finally died after ten years. I purchased this one just to try it: especially because of the inexpensive price. It works really well for what I need it for. It’s easy to program and the batteries last .

Works well
Good bang for your buck. Average quality imaging. Nothing spectacular but your buying it for the night imaging not to take portraits. The closer the image the better, however it does pickup long range, over 300ft with some resolution. First time using them I noticed a possum walking by the lake at about 200ft. I could tell right away what it was, the resolution was sharp enough. Great buy for checking out the woods or field behind your house

Picture quality on the lake

This is my first sports cam. I bought it because of the Amazon reviews and the price. I am very please with its performance. I am using it for fun and to record praise band music for our church. The picture quality is amazing and the sound with an external mic. is really good. I have been using iMovie for editing and it is going smoothly. This has been a great purchase and would recommend it to anyone just starting out or needing an additional cam.Bruce Jordan, Palmer, AK
