Not pure bone conduction headphones!
Warning: The description is misleading - these aren't pure bone conduction headphones! These are open headphones that use a combination of bone conduction and open-air conduction to transmit sound. There is a small opening that fires sound back at your ear canal to supplement the bone conduction audio.I felt a bit duped and was planning to return the product. I wanted bone conduction headphones, not a hybrid version. However, they are honestly excellent open ear headphones.Pros:- Very good sound quality, much better than pure bone conduction headphones. Surprisingly great volume, frequency response, and clarity. They're even better sounding than many over-ear headphones.- Battery lasts forever. They advertise 7 hours, but I get 8-10 hours per charge.- Fast charging- USB-C charging cable, no proprietary charger- Very lightweight and comfortable. Perhaps my most comfortable headphones.- Open ear design, so you can easily hear your surroundings- Decent price (I got them for $40 on a sale)Cons:- Not just bone conduction. Misleading product description, in my opinion.- Sound leakage. People nearby will be able to hear what you listen to, especially at high volumes.- Mediocre microphone quality, but better than nothing I suppose.- Cannot use with earplugs, like you can with most bone conduction- Cable that wraps behind head can get in the way sometimesOverall, I really like these and plan to keep them. If they would fix the product description to be less misleading, these would be 5-star headphones.

Good, likely can't do better at this price.
I was a little skeptical for $20 bluetooth headphones but these have worked well. Battery life is decent. If use them at work, I get almost a couple work days out of them (maybe 4 hours off and on, not 8 hours constant use). I can be picky, as I have expensive open back headphones at home, but these are decent and volume out put is good. They stay in well also.

Brainwavz Hybrid Memory Foam Earpad - Black PU/Velour - Suitable For Large Over The Ear Headphones

.These headphones are excellent closed-back headphones for use in quiet spaces. They don't have enough low-end to overcome the noises of public transportation or airplanes, but they're great for anywhere roughly as loud as a coffee shop or quieter.I bought this pair to use replace an open-backed headphone for living with a roommate. It's great not being able to hear the roommate while still listening at reasonable volume levels, even if open-sound separation isn't one of the M40x's strong-suits.

Good but not great
Overall I like these headphones. My ears don’t keep most headphones in when I run so having the ear hook and the in ear buds make these ideal. The headphones connect really easy to my iPhone which is a plus. My old headphones would always require closing and restarting apps and switching Bluetooth on and off.My two complaints are minor. 1) the power/pause button is the flat part of the right headphone. Well when running if the headphone starts to move and you try to push it back in, most of the time you end up pausing the audio, which can get a bit annoying. 2) the charge port is covered by a piece of rubber that is not very easy to open. Sometimes I work at it only to have it slip back closed when I am finally able to get it to open.

Good for video conferences, mediocre as general-pu
Mic: 5 stars. As headphones: 3 stars.I'm coming from a pair of Sennheiser RS 180 headphones, which are super light, super open, sound great, and are wireless to boot ... and the A40 headphones don't stack up well:* Sturdy ... but heavy. Needlessly heavy. What's the point of the metal pieces?* Open-backed ... but not as open as I would have liked. This bothered me enough that I actually removed the felt pieces in front of the drivers, and the paper from behind the drivers. They're noticeably more open now than they were originally ... but somehow still not as open as the Sennheisers.* Super weak bass. I'm no audiophile ... but these compare very poorly to the Sennheisers in terms of sound quality.Overall:I'm mainly using these for work meetings, and for that they are perfectly fine. They work with my PC (using a mic/headphone splitter adapter) and with my phone (Pixel 1, no adapter necessary), which is great. But for the price, I'm disappointed that they aren't better as general-purpose headphones.
