These magic arms are raved about by all of the Youtube camera creators, and I can see why. This is very useful, and very well made for such a small device. The arm and clamp is 100% made of metal. There are no plastic parts, including the cold shoe mount at the base of the arm. The only thing that isn't metal are some rubber pads on the mounts and the C-clamp to help protect whatever you've attached to the arm. The crank to tighten the arm is large and easy to use, which is especially important for me because I have a condition that reduces my hand strength (it would also be useful when wearing gloves). The arm is sturdy enough to hold a mirrorless camera, as long as the lens is relatively small. It might hold a camera and a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens, but I'm not brave enough to test that application. However, I use it with my small prime lenses with no problem. As a Sony user, I like the colorful accents because they match the orange of the Sony lens mount ring. Keep in mind, this is a relatively heavy tool for its size -- which is necessary in order to be this strong -- so I wouldn't plan on carrying this in a bag all of the time. But for specific uses, this is excellent. Overall, I'm very glad I picked this up.
