Love the Majic Arm Clamp!
I purchased the “K&F CONCEPT 9.8" Magic Arm Clamp” specifically to light my subjects when doing close-up and macro photography. I looked at a number of different brands and decided on K&F because I have been very happy with their products in the past. I opted for the version that included the “cold shoe’ option so that I could mount it directly to my camera if I chose/needed to.
When I opened the box and looked the clamp over I was extremely happy and surprised with the quality of the construction. For the money I spent I actually expected that the clamp would be on the flimsy side, but NO this is built crazy good! All metal construction The main elbow joint has teeth to help lock the clamp very securely and ensure it does not slip! The single elbow joint knob screw loosens & tightens the elbow as well as the two ball joints at either end of the arm. This allows for quick and easy adjustments that lock down super tight.
The main clamp, used to attach it to poles, posts, branches, tables edges, whatever is amazingly well machined making for smooth and easy operation. I was actually very surprised at how smooth. The grips are rubberized to ensure a better grip and make for a ’no-mar’ attachment. The clamp also features a 1/4” and a second 3/8” threaded hole for attaching the arm or a tripod. Well thought out.
The hot shoe attachment and the knurled tighteners at either end of the arm are heavy duty plastic, not metal, but I see no problem there. In fact all cold shoe attachments that I have are plastic as well. So I see this arm lasting a long, long time.
I have not taken this out in the field yet, but I have shot a bunch of images on my back patio using the arm to support a mini-led light (that’s what I bought the arm for) snd it worked great. Easy to set up & adjust, held the lights position perfectly clamped to my tripod as well as on my camera (see my ‘action’ photos) what more could one want?
The only drawback with this arm is now I think I need a second one to complete my in the field macro studio lighting set up!

K&F Concept Magic Arm with cold shoe mount.
K&F Concept has a really nicely designed Magic Arm with a super clamp that they pair with different connectors to accomplish a wide variety of tasks. The arm and the clamp are very well made and have all aluminum construction. The arm's length delivers a versatile and very adjustable mounting option with a joint that locks down securely.
This version has a cold shoe mount included with the standard pieces so you can mount something that has a cold shoe mount to a post or a surface with the super clamp or you can slip the cold shoe mount into a slot, tighten it down, and mount from there using either the screw on point or the clamp.
I've been using this mounted on a video cage with a small fill light so I could elevate the light a little above the rig and position it as I need. Of course you can remove both the clamp and the cold shoe mount to use just the magic arm and the end mounting points.
Overall, a lot of functionality, in a well priced package.

Well built clamp and magic arm kit although not my favorite K&F Concept super clamp
This is a nicely made magic arm kit with very good overall build quality. The arm, joints, knobs, and included parts all feel solid and well machined, with a durable all-metal construction that inspires confidence for normal accessory mounting.
The magic arm itself is the main highlight here. It gives a lot of flexibility for positioning smaller accessories, and once tightened down it feels secure for appropriate loads. I think it works well for things like small monitors, lights, microphones, webcams, and lighter mirrorless or DSLR setups. It is versatile and useful, but I would still stay realistic about weight. This feels rugged and durable, not like something meant to hold a ton of weight. For heavier camera builds or more abusive movement, I would be cautious and respect the load limits.
My only real hesitation is with the included clamp. It works well enough, and the quality is still good. However, at the same time I also got K&F Concept’s Multifunctional Super Clamp, and that clamp is a bit nicer and more versatile, especially for clamping to desks and other flat surfaces as well as having improved placement of the 1/4“ and 3/8” holes. So while this included clamp is perfectly usable, it strikes me as a simpler design, and possibly an older version compared with some of K&F’s newer clamp options. I'm now mostly using the magic arm from this kit with the other upgraded super clamp.
That said, the kit as a whole is still very useful and the included clamp will still cover a lot of common mounting situations.
One thing buyers should know is that K&F Concept offers several different clamp designs on Amazon. If you are specifically planning to clamp to poles or stands, this kit makes a lot of sense as-is. If you expect to clamp to desks, shelves, or other flat surfaces more often, you may want to look through K&F Concept's other clamp options and choose the one that best matches your application.

Actually one of the more smarter designs I've seen!
Such a clever idea to make a device that allows you to attach a magic arm to the shoe mount of the camera! A lot of people have no idea how useful this can be. I'm currently using it to mount a shotgun mic to my camera, but this can also be used for lights, phone mounts, action cameras, and SO MUCH MORE. The versatility of this magic arm add on is actually insane. Fits perfectly on my camera with no wobbles or anything, everything is perfectly sturdy. It was obviously easy to install and doesn't require anything extra or any screwing obviously also the arm itself is extremely easy to adjust. Now I would say I probably wouldn't trust the specific arm part for heavier items like a monitor, but for my lights and mics it's perfect! This is a brilliant design!
Good work K&F!

Strong, well built, simple to set up.
Did not expect to be as good of quality as this is. Strong, sturdy and easy to work with. The tightening lever is surprisingly great. 1/2 turn to tighten or loosen makes it super convenient when trying to set it up. Can easily hold a DSLR. Clamp is strong and rubber allows to grip with force without scratching or denting the surface your clamping to.

Versatile and perfect for lightweight-to-mid setups.
This is a versatile articulating arm mount designed for photographers, videographers, and content creators to position accessories flexibly.
It's an all-metal (aluminum alloy) rig with a 9.8-inch articulating arm featuring dual 360° ball heads, 1/4" screws on both ends, a super clamp (for gripping poles, tripods, tables, etc., with 15-55mm opening), cold shoe mount, protective rubber pads, and compatibility with cameras, monitors, flashes, microphones, webcams, DSLRs, action cams, and more.
Max load is about 2kg (4.4 lbs), best for static or light dynamic use.
Pros:
- Solid, durable all-metal build with anti-slip rubber pads.
- Highly flexible 360° positioning for precise angles.
- Strong clamp grips poles/tables (15–55mm) securely.
- Versatile compatibility (1/4" & 3/8" threads, cold shoe).
- Great value—affordable yet premium look and feel.
- K&F Concept is a well known and trusted brand.
Things to consider:
- 2kg max load; may sag, or bend with heavier gear or dynamic use.
- Potential minor wear on ball joints/threads over time (common).
- Shorter 9.8" reach vs. longer alternatives.
Ideal as an affordable pick, versatile and perfect for lightweight-to-mid setups. Highly recommended!

Use this extension arm to expand your options.
I quickly found that when I started to get into closeup photography, using a built-in camera flash does not do the job and give you the results you may have wanted. With this arm, I was able to move a flash away from the camera and vary its position depending on what I was working on. Another use I found that I will be using this for is mounting of an action camera. I was pleased to see that it was noticeably light, and the adjusting knobs had no issue with locking the arms in place. The included clamp should be very helpful when I will need to attach the arm to my tripod for more options than I would otherwise not have. This arm comes across looking as a very professional piece of equipment and performs as such. With it being so light, it should always find a place in my camera pack.

On the short side, but very good value
This small "magic arm" has a single large knob at the center that can be used to lock the center joint as well as the two swivel balls at each end. It basically allows you to position a small piece of equipment in any orientation and position within a 5-9" range of the anchor point.
Each end has a 1/4-20 stud with rubber topped compression nuts, but the box also includes a (max 2" jaw) clamp that has a 1/4-20 (and 3/8-16) mounting point, as well as a cold shoe attachment point with a double ended 1/4-20 female so you could mount the arm to the top of a camera or mount anything with a cold shoe mounting slot to the end of the arm.
The entire weight of the arm/clamp/adapter is just over 3/4 of a lb. The arm alone is 215g, the 2" jaw clamp adds 109 grams and the cold shoe adapter and double ended female 1/4-20 piece is 27 grams.
Once you lock the knob the entire arm and end balls are VERY rigid.
Most of the hardware is aluminum and stainless steel, but the main bodies of the arms appear to be steel (my magnet sticks well).
Overall I was happy with all three of the main parts in the box, and as a kit I feel it provides good value for the cost.

Wery versitile, very usful articulating arm.
The usefulness of this little articuating arm is only limited by your imagination. I had been using a big ol cross bar to support my web cam but now this arm is clamped securely to the desk clamp vertical bar and positioned the web cam nicely just over my monitor. The K&F quality is there with solid construction and pieces that secure in position. I will probably get a couple more to position my smaller camera items where I want them.
