If you are a rock hound, you need this microscope
My fiancé and I got this to handle a different situation, but when we were playing around with it to get used to it, we put one of his many, many, many rocks under it and it was mind-blowing. Being able to see the different striations, occlusions, even hair-line fractures up close and personal was an experience. Many of the rocks that he has ended up having bits of colors and fossils that we had no idea they had.The picture quality is exceptional, both on the phone and on a laptop. I would imagine it would be incredible on a large screen TV or even a projector. We are quite impressed with this microscope, we are thrilled we got it.
