But on the contrary. I've hiked 10 hours at a time with this camera backpack and the tripod on the side and found it very pleasant that the tripod was on the side. As with all parts in a backpack, the lighter the parts, the better ! I own a K+F Concept KF-TC2534, which weighs less than 2 kg, is very small and "handles" equipment of 12 kg and more. This tripod fits perfectly with this backpack.
