Power consumption in parking mode, does it drain the car battery?

As a rule, at least in my BMW, the power supply is switched off after a few minutes and only starts again when the car is unlocked. I often have my car unused for a week because of travel. Never had any problems. The chip then no longer records because no more juice comes out of the socket.
