Does this adapter work with non-AI Nikkor lenses? I bought a K&F adapter that didn't and I don't want to make the same mistake again.

If by non-AI you mean Nikon G or P class lenses (those that don't have aperture rings) then it won't work with those. This is for older lenses where you also have an aperture ring.
