Great for beginning birder - but a tripod is necessary
We're pretty happy with this monocular, especially for the price we paid. It was way too shaky to see anything with simply holding it, so we immediately ordered a cheap Amazon tripod. It's very easy to focus. I've had a few issues with fogging up that took a good moment to clear, but since I've had glasses for a few decades, that's just life with lenses. The phone adapter isn't always the best at staying attached, and the tightening screw stripped the plastic threads within the first day. I simply keep the adapter set at a certain width setting and slide my phone in and out when needed. This is what I have because I can't afford a $200+ camera, so I really can't complain!
