Nice filter, but.....
The material is nice and sturdy it have a extra dial that allow you to adjust the filter as needed. However my lens hood for my Sony 24-105 doesn’t fit with this lens filter on

I didn't gain the mileage I was hoping to but overall I still recommend this purchase. I plan on having this car for a long time so the filter will definitely pay its self off. One negative experience I had with my purchase is the first filter I received wasn't the correct filter. The part number on the box was correct but the filter inside was wrong. But I had no hassle at all with returning it to amazon.

Not for the Subaru Ascent
Do not use this in a Subaru Ascent. It messes with the turbo and caused all of the warning lights to go off. A trip to the dealer determined that Subaru does not recommend this filter for that reason. We replaced it with a Subaru filter and it solved the problem. I’m sure it’s a fine filter just not for the Subaru ascent.

Secretly amazing
So far so good, I don't typically review products but I really felt as though others should know about this.For the price of the 82mm I genuinely didn't expect it to be good and was betting on probably needing to return it.The first impressions instantly proved me wrong, the filter looks feels like top notch quality when you open the package, the was no issues trying to tread it onto my lens, I ordered this for use with Video and so far there seems to be no weird color shift and if there is, I just haven't noticed it yet. This filter is incredible and given its price I know I almost passed on it thinking it has to be flawed but I'm really glad I decided to give it a try.I'm go to look at the other offerings from this brand and give them a try as well, but for now I would 100% recommend this filter.

A substantial oil filter not your typical low grade filter promoted in many fast lube places. If you value your car's longevity this is the one to choose.

Another amazing filter from K&N
This is the third filter I buy from K&N, the first 2 were used on Volvo cars, and this one is for my Mazda CX9. As before, the filter delivers more power, very easy to install, and the ROI is made in about 2 years.Also, installing this filter doesn't break the warranty.

Has K&N plastic cover
4 stars for now until I see how well this filters the dusty air in my area.The OE filter lets massive amounts of dust and particles inside my brand new car, I doubt the K&N will filter less compared to the cheaply made OE filter that cost around $25 to replace.Went with the K&N branded cabin filter over several other brands with the HEPA and Carbon/Febreeze style filters for a few reasons... I have used AEM/K&N filters for many years and have never had an issue with a properly installed filter from them... but mainly because I notice most of those other "premium cabin filters" will add some kind "perfume" and I have been known to get headaches whenever I'm around synthetic "febreeze/perfume" type smells.Ordered for a 2017 Forester XT, filter seems to fit nice and snug, and the filter was shipped with a "K&N plastic cover" inside the box... ordered from the third party seller "Genuine Parts Supply" whom offered the filter "Prime Shipping"Instruction paper was easy enough and basically said to : remove old filter, install K&N filter with tab towards you and facing down.
