Cool idea, slightly nerve-wracking
I bought this for casual video stuff, not pro work, and that context matters. The magnets are strong, but the first time I clipped it on, I still hovered my hand underneath like I was spotting a dumbbell. Once it’s seated, it doesn’t move, but you’re very aware it’s a magnet holding glass near your phone.The variable ND itself looks good. I used it outside on a bright afternoon and finally got motion footage without everything blowing out. Adjusting the ring is smooth, though it’s easy to bump it slightly when pulling the phone out of a pocket.I don’t use this every day. It lives in the little case it came with and only comes out when I remember it exists. When I do use it, I’m glad I have it. Just don’t jog with it on and forget it’s there.
