Excellent tap to open mechanism, fully articulated head, stable in use, robust build quality.
The K&F team have been hard at work again producing another well designed, well-made and thoroughly useful piece of kit. This selfie stick is probably the best I have owned to date and it addresses the one thing that has been missing on all other selfie stick tripods I have used previously. More of that later.

Outwardly this appears to be just another regular selfie stick / tripod. The legs are made of tough plastic with a carbon fibre effect finish and there is the usual detachable blue tooth remote trigger. It’s a fairy chunky affair at roughly 4cm in diameter and 34cm long.

The neat thing about this tripod is the opening mechanism. They aren't the first to use this method but I am glad they did. The tripod uses a "tap to open" method whereby you tap the bottom on the ground and the legs open up. This particular model needs a little more than a tap, in fact I find dropping it from about 5-10cm works fine. There is a bit of a knack to it but once you get it, it works well. It should be held by the 6cm cylinder at the top of the tripod which houses the head. Let it slip through your fingers and hit the ground. Immediately after it hitting the ground the legs pop open but you need to let your fingers slip up to the head which will by now have popped out. Clinch the head and continue moving your hand upwards lifting the tripod away from the ground and allowing the lags to splay correctly. With a bit of practice this can be done fluently in a single motion. I have tried to capture this in the video.

Closing it is easy. Simply grab the upper cylinder again and lift it off the ground. the legs will snap closed by way of the built in magnets.

This is a game changer for me because every other one of these devices I have used needed to be pried open from the base with the fingers. It was a slow and awkward process. This method is quick and easy and I really like it.

But that is not the best thing that has been fixed for me. One of my main bugbears with regard to selfie sticks has been the inability of the head to rotate relative to the shaft and legs meaning that any rotation in the horizontal plane would require the entire tripod to be turned. So, K&F have fixed this with a fully articulated head which can be tilted and panned independent of the legs. As an added bonus, the head also has a cold shoe socket on top in case you have a separate light you wish to use with it. While we are talking about the head it should be noted that it is fully incorporated into the selfie stick length and sits neatly inside the stick when it is fully closed up.

The height is about 115cm fully extended to the top of the phone bracket. this is adequate for most scenarios. Due to the lightweight nature of such devices, any more height makes the tripod unstable. that said, this is pretty solid on the ground. The rubberised, non-slip feet help in this respect.
If I was to have one gripe it would be that when you want to extend the length and use it as a hand-held selfie stick you need to pull on the top of the head which is sprung to accommodate phones. So, when you pull, initially this is extending (or perhaps compressing) the spring and it just feels like it is exerting too much force on what is probably the most delicate part of the stick. I think if I am doing this regularly, I would tap it open first and extend the stick by pulling from below the head thereby avoiding putting repeated strain on the spring.

I am actually very impressed with this stick, its feels very robust and is completely self-contained. I can easily sling this in my bag and have it ready to use in seconds. Another great product from this brand. Keep them coming.

Perfect self standing selfie stick for traveling alone
Extremely easy to use, and satisfies my needs perfectly!!!! Tall enough and has 360 degree rotation phone holder, tripod extends open like magic. The Bluetooth worked on my iPhone immediately and several other camera apps. The best way technology can benefit people. Great value for money. I am not sure about sturdiness, it is pretty and new now but I am worried that the tripod function gets damaged every time we bump it to the ground. Also if it could be slightly lighter, it will be perfect!

It allows you to point your phone where it needs to be
It works as I thought it would from reading the information provided for me.

I can maneuver my attached phone so I can record what it is I’m doing at the time. I use this for when I take something apart and need to be able to put it back together ;)

From replacing an o-ring in a water pump on my benchtop to fixing my motorcycle, this allows me to get a view I can record.

Good quality, not really 'automatic'
On first opening this selfie stick it looks very premium and has a fair bit of weight to it that adds to that feel. I liked the idea of quick one hand opening but this isn't quite as easy to use as it first appears...

Firstly you have to drop/bang it on the ground with some real force for the legs to pop open, and even then you will probably need to manually complete the task. As for extending the pole, it is very difficult to get a grip on the end to pull it and requires a lot of force to fully extend. The other issue is when extending you are pulling on the spring clamp that holds the phone in place which feels very counterintuitive and like you might cause some damage. Once up however it is very tall and very sturdy.

The little removable Bluetooth remote connects easily and works reliably so no issues there.

Priced at £25 at time of review this is quite expensive and although generally good quality the USP of being quick and 'automatic' to open and close is a bit wide of the mark.

Solid little tripod, premium feel and functionality.
I picked this up for a secondary camera when shooting online content (art and craft tutorials), and it has served its purpose well.

First of all I own a 'Google Pixel 7 Pro' (not on the list of compatible phones for this tripod), which when clamped in is constantly having its volume buttons pressed down. I have managed overcome this by sliding the phone over slightly, the phone is not fully centralised in the clamp, but it is still securely fixed in place. (The clamp is supposedly threaded so I will look at replacing it with a more compatible one in the future)

The tripod itself feels solid and robust, it can be raised, lower, twisted or tilted, or even folded down into a selfie stick. It also comes with a bluetooth remote control (which was fully compatible with my Google Pixel), the remote is magnetised, and can either be attached securely to the handle of the selfie stick, or removed and used remotely when working with the tripod.

Overall a cracking, well built little tripod device

Stable tripod but wide to hold as a selfie stick
As a short or long tripod this stick is quite stable with the legs sitting firmly on the ground. I found when used as a selfie stick the diameter was a little large and not the most comfortable to hold when fully extended. It. is well made and the landscape head can be tilted at an angle for group shots. The remote works well. A fair portable tripod for the price.

A very good extra long selfie stick.
This is a very long selfie stick with a removable remote control. I'm still getting to grips with all the buttons on the remote control. Unfortunately, as usual, the instructions aren't much help, but I've worked out the main buttons and that's all I really need for now.

I found that when the phone was mounted, the stick was strong even when fully extrended and didn't exhibit that all so common twisting throughout the length that a lot of sticks have.

The clamp for the phone allows horizontal or vertical orientation so you can frame that selfie of a lifetime, just right.

The three feet support the whole thing very strongly, even when fully extended, so used with care you'll never need to carry a tripod.

I found that at full extension on the feet, care had to be taken if it was breezy, but using the remote control I could normally time the shot to coincide with a drop in the wind and my photos were nice and sharp.

This isn't the smallest stick around when folded, ending up at around 13" or 330mm so don't think you're going to keep it in a small bag when out and about, but it's strength and ability more than make up for the inconvenience of size.

All in all a good selfie stick for a good price
