Have received these today and writing this more or less as an initial impression of the Ulanzi VL49 lights.First thing I noticed is how incredibly lite these lights are. At first I honestly thought I was shipped two empty boxes, however both lights were in their boxes. The construction seems to be very well constructed and would be willing to bet these are going to withstand normal use out in the field or inside of a studio. The interface is simple to use and as long as you read the instructions (or watch online reviews like I did).At 100% brightness these will be very blinding to look at head-on from a distance of about 10ft or less, so something to keep in mind if you plan on using this in lieu of a ring light on a dslr for doing close up portraits.The only thing that I've found to be a little lacking, which isn't a deal breaker for me given the other mounting options is that the magnets built into these do seem to be a little weak when I had one mounted on my steel door. But to be perfectly fair, each of these lights weight only 5oz, so not like they'd need a commercial grade magnet built into them (probably an intentional design due to avoid causing damage or interference with a person's photography equipment).Giving these a 5 star rating as I believe for the price, these lights are definitely well worth more.
