Poorly designed shock mount
I was excited to use this product after Reading and watching great reviews. The sound quality is great if the mic is on a tripod or boom not attached to the camera. When it’s attached to my Canon R6, the mic picks up the lens focusing which sounds like a buzzing on the video. The stock camera mic does not pick up this focus noise. When I hold the mic off camera the focusing noise is not there. The problem is that the shock mount that comes with this mic is all solid plastic so there is no material to dampen the vibrations like a soft silicone or rubber. Unfortunately I can’t rate this mic highly because of this serious design flaw. It’s likely all the company would have to do to fix this is add a soft silicone ring in between the shock mount and the mic.
