Fun camera
This is a fun camera for lots of uses, I plan on checking out the local wildlife that visits my back yard. We have foxes, coyotes, deer, wild turkeys, and other interesting visitors, but I’m never fast enough with my regular camera. This trail camera is very sensitive and captures any motion in front of it in either photo or video, or both if you like. The system menu is simple to understand and setup of this camera is really quick and simple. Looking forward to seeing everything it captures!

very good low-end of 3 new from SJCAM
A very good little non-waterproof camera that has a seemingly decent internal microphone, and comes enclosed in in a waterproof submersion case which affords standard action-camera-compatible mounts. But once you put it in the case to be waterproof, you’ve got next to no audio capability, because the internal microphone is sealed up tight. Excellent picture quality and fun to use, but the binary choice of mount or microphone limits its usefulness. There’s no jack for an external microphone in the camera. Alternately, various GoPro branded cameras are waterproof without the submersion case, and the brand offers a Media Mod case that wraps around the GoPro camera, docking with its USB port, and adding an array of physical external connectivity. That would suit my purposes better. It may be confusing to some shoppers that this SJCAM SJ4K, which was released on Amazon on September 15, 2021, is not the same model as the SJCAM SJ4000(X), released on Amazon, January 4, 2018. At least the model name and the price are different, and there are separate Amazon pages for each. Beyond that, I don’t know how much they differ. (Even the Amazon product page for the new SJ4K model is confused. The top (2017) review on the SJ4K product page is for the other model, the earlier SJ4000.) This SJ4K is the low end of 3 sports camera models from SJCAM released on Amazon, September 15, 2021. There’s a comparison chart on this model’s Amazon product page, (as of this writing). The two higher priced models (SJ6K, SJ8K) both have adjustable wide-angle lens, gyro stabilization, and wearable remote. The SJ6K has external mic capability, via mini-USB, (per a Seller answered question on the Amazon product page). (Or could it actually be a micro-USB?) The SJ8K has an external mic capability, and it’s via USB C. It’s been suggested that one might drill a hole in the submersion case to pass the external mic connector through, and then plug it with removable putty for a non-submersible, but water-resistant setup. Not recommended because of course it would void your warranty. A better option might be the GoPro with Media Mod, but decidedly more expensive. As you might guess, the SJ6K and SJ8K don’t shoot in 6K or 8K resolution.

Really sturdy bit of kit
First microphone I have ever owned but its reassuringly heavy, feels very well made, looks great and comes in an excellent quality carry case. The carry case looks a little bit like it should be carrying a 9mm pistol and has enough sponge padding inside that it should withstand a small apocalypse. Going to be using it for my wedding speech so hopefully it doesn't let me down, initial testing with the Stagg lead on a small PA system suggests it will work perfectly.

Recording audio
I have the USB Type C version of this camera which I paired with an Akaso external microphone. The audio is excellent if you connect the USB facing upwards. There is an issue of the audio being played on different devices. It plays on some devices and not others... Hm, don't worry, all the speakers are plugged in, audio was recorded with and without a mic and without the housing etc. (not a total dunce)... so it must be something to do with the way Akaso processes audio such that its output only works on some devices. Kind of weird

Great sound quality for single person use!
This microphone is a powerful little mic! It is all metal construction and has a wonderful sound. Using Audacity, I did a quick test and from the front, it was set to around -14dB. Side rejection came in at around 10dB (-24dB) and rear rejection was around 20db (-34dB). The quality of this mic for this price is amazing! The problem that I have with this mic is that you have no low-latency monitoring capability (headphone jack or otherwise). This limits you to just you and a computer. If you're making podcasts or videos where it's just you narrating, this mic will be incredible. Since this is a USB mic, though, you won't really have any way to have a monitor or feed anything or anyone else into your podcast. It does come with a USB-C to USB-C cable with the integrated USB-A adapter, and it seems to be a very well made cable. For a microphone of this quality, there really should be a low-latency monitor jack. If you don't need that, then I highly recommend this mic as the sound quality is definitely top notch for a mic at this price point. There is nothing else at this price that compares!

great deal, ok camera
Got this for $40 on a lightning deal, so the price was really good … even $50 is a great deal.Image quality is pretty good, but not as sharp as I was hoping. Sound quality is a bit blown out. In retrospect I might have been happier with the higher end Vision 4 version of the camera. Image stabilization and external microphone might help. Long videos seem to get chopped into pieces, my 1080p 60fps videos are chopped into 25 minute, 3.3 gig increments, can't seem to change this.Reviewing for a free accessory

Great Price and souds better than expected!
This is a great quality little mic! It has been difficult to find a nice quality DYNAMIC studio type USB mic for my needs. This little guy is just what I have been wanting. It feels well made and includes a USB-C interface. You can even directly monitor with headphones with an independent headphone volume control right on the mic. A dynamic microphone is ideal for computer setups because they do not pick up a wide pattern outside of their immediate area, unlike Condensor microphones. Condensor may capture more detail but at the cost of also hearing every click of our keyboard or squeak of your chair. This dynamic microphone seems to sound a bit more natural than say an SM58, which tends to sound a bit muffled, so I was impressed. There are no strange artifacts in the audio either so it gives a nice CLEAN and direct sound right out of the box. I am impressed and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a dynamic mic. Oh, it can also be run either XLR OR USB-C as its own interface for a single cable setup. VERY NICE

Almost a complete kit for vlogging
I use this for my YouTube videos. Easy to set up, sturdy stand, lots of adapters to make things work, but it's missing 1 thing to make it a complete kit: 3.5mm to Lightning. This kit is complete if you have a phone with a 3.5mm audio port, but if you have a Lightning port device with no 3.5mm audio port, then you will need to get one. For me, I got a Dodocool one.The microphone works well, but I don't think it makes my audio sound any better for my use (I don't sing indoors). If you were doing outdoors or if you sing indoors, then the included dead cats (microphone muffs) should help reduce the wind noise and maybe even reduce heavy breathing noise :DThe phone is pretty good. Has two screw holes: 1 on the stand and 1 on the holder itself (the arms). The light is decent, but feels cheap and doesn't have any warm light option. It's just cool light (white light). It uses 2 AA batteries Put the light on the stand by itself and you can use it as a work light

Unbeatable Sound For The Price
First off they DO FIT AROUND YOUR EARS unless you have bigger then normal ears (See pics) ear lobes just squeak in though. Move the hair out of your way people before saying no. They're not really noise cancelling but the fit around the ears makes the sound more rich. Finally a company that doesn't gouge the consumer for quality. I saw the price, needed a set in my low price range and figured I'd take a chance. The quality of sound is amazing. The ear pads are soft and comfortable. The EQ settings are pre-set. Push it and get bass - Mids and highs. 5 of them for whatever you need. I highly recommend them. As for the microphone, I recorded my voice and played it back and it's kind of bassy and muddy. That might not be the case on an actual call so you would have to try for yourself. I don't use the microphone so it doesn't matter to me at all. Overall it's a great set of headphones for a price that is amazing. Over night shipping was also a huge plus.
