This tripod works just like it should. I use it to hold my phone for dry fire practice with my 9mm.As for the remote, I have never tried it. Have no use for it as of now.Would I recommend this to others? Yes. Its a good tool for the price.

Great value, exactly what I wanted. Don't forget to buy a tripod as it gets heavy in your hands after a minute or two.

This little tripod and remote are just what I needed! My grandson wants to do stop motion videos, and this will make it all possible! So far it is working perfectly! It should keep us very busy during this lick down!

 I purchased this seven years ago & it’s still a nice light weight Tripod. The video I uploaded is the tripod setup with my Nikon D5300, with a Nikkor AF-S 18-300mm DX series lens (very heavy lens), my camera backpack used as a stabilizing weight, being used on a moving ship Pride of America sailing around the Hawaiian islands. I purchased this for a similar trip that we enjoyed six years ago.The good: it’s light weight, easy to setup, very flexible, & fairly easy to pack in luggage for travel.It seems stable enough & has numerous adjustment capabilities. As I stated earlier it is being used on a cruise ship underway, & it hasn’t even tipped even though we are sailing on moderately choppy water.This tripod is versatile, & was used to take a picture of my wife & I earlier today, with a remote shutter control with a Kauai backdrop in the background.The trade off of this Tripod is that it is light weight. if you are someone who expects a heavy duty tripod this probably isn’t for you. Don’t get me wrong this is a nice tripod, but if you are a professional & you need something heavy duty then you should consider something else. If however you are an amateur photographer who needs a light weight tripod, this is something you should seriously consider.Now the only negative thing I can say about this is I accidentally pulled one of the leg extensions out w/o flipping out the release. I thought I had damaged this beyond repair but with my wife’s help & my ability to get the part aligned correctly it works just fine but that leg is a little stiff. (But this in no way is anyones fault but mine) it still works & I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants/needs an inexpensive tripod with many features, (that is even repairable on the fly) that will support a modest weight camera & lens combination.I would buy this again. If you are a beginning photographer, or a seasoned veteran photographer, & want a light weight tripod you should seriously give this a try. You really can’t go wrong at this price.(One thing to keep in mind if you have a camera/lens combination that is more than six lbs you may need a heavier tripod.)

I bought this tripod to record my golf swing. This thing has a ton of different adjustments and the remote is a nice addition too. Very awesome buy.

I loooooved that there was a screw at the bottom so that you can mount it on a tripod! I use it all the time for my Twitch Streams in the Creative section for my traditional art. I thought I had to buy a new camera to shoot downwards but I realized there was the screw on tripod option and man it works wonders. The camera overall is great, I am in love! I may even buy another one in the future, for $50 this is a steal!
