This product is not for a spotting scope.
I bought this product hoping it would support my Vortex Spotting Scope. I was wrong. As I screwed the scope on the tripod the rubber padding, on top of the tripod rubbed into pieces In addition the screw attaching the scope is too short to provide a stable mount. Bottom line, this is the wrong gear for a spotting scope. I love the light weight, but keep it for your little cameras.

Very sturdy, I bought this tripod to replace the horribly wobbly one that came with a cheap spotting scope. With this, the scope is steady and much more usable.

Works well, as advertized.
Bought it for my spotting scope. It's pretty easy to set the scope on this tripod and the height adjustments etc, are pretty intuitive.

Great, light weight.
This is a great light weight tripod. I put it in my backpack for my spotting scope for back country hunting.

Works well with a spotting scope
For the price it's a really nice tripod!We got ours for a spotting scope. Hook on the brace helps stabilize it

Great value lightweight tripod
I like this very lightweight tripod. I use it to hold my spotting scope. It is very adjustable and I can use it on a bench or freestanding on the ground. The scope and tripod are very lightweight which can be an issue in very strong winds. Pleased with the purchase and consider it a very good value.
