These allow me to continue to use filters brought for one lens on all my other lenses!
These allow me to continue to use filters brought for one lens on all my other lenses! Of course, stepping down to a smaller diameter can cause vignetting, but you can't change the laws of physics. If you have something special like a Wratten 25A for black and white, or an expensive non-circular polarizer (beware autofocusers), neutral density filters for an eclipse, all your filters can be adapted easily to fit all your lenses. If you buy a new filter, buy a diameter to match the largest you need and e voila! it will be the only one you buy!
