Solid build, smooth mounting experience.
- Solid build quality. Wish it had a few more stops though.- Mounting went smoothly the Fuji X-T20 body and Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G and Tokina 12-28 f/4 lenses. Time to go take some photos!

Great lens but...
Pro: Great image quality, especially for available light portraits shot at f2.8 where you want a pleasingly blurred background. The IS is good but see note below.Con: Weight if you plan on carrying it around all day on a pro camera body. This is a great lens and if I didn't also own the 70-200mm f4.0L IS Canon lens I would have rated it 5 stars. IMHO the f4 is a better all around carry lens if you don't absolutely have to have the f2.8 aperture. The IS in the f4 is Canon's latest and is usable up to 4 stops slower shutter speed than you'd normally need at less than half the weight. The 2.8 version uses the very good, but older, 3 stop IS. On the surface you would think that the f2.8 aperture being one stop faster would place them on even ground where IS is concerned but it does not. the newer IS on the f4 version is INCREDIBLE in operation! To be fair to the 2.8 lens, given the same lighting conditions, it gives you one full shutter speed faster that may make a difference if stopping motion is needed in the shot. My best advice is to not end up with both lenses becuase it is so hard to decide which one to take along!

Great lens
I'm not a "professional" photographer, but I did a great deal of research prior to purchasing. This is a heavy, solid lens with Pro features. It doesn't zoom in great deal more than the 35-135mm lens that came with the 40D body (as would be expected just looking at the numbers), but the real benefit is being able to get an extra 2 stops of exposure than using an f/4 lens without IS. Gets pretty heavy carrying it around on vacation all day, but you get the great shots. No regrets.

Glad I got it
It arrived 4 days early - great excitement. But wasn't abler to use it until 2 days after arrival. Tried it with my 70-200 L series zoom on a Canon 7D2.1. Very easy to fit onto the lens and camera, Felt solid and as if it belonged there.2. shooting at f5.6 as lost 2 stops (expected) and at various settings. The quality was, to me, entirely acceptable.A ood purchase, to be recommended.

Super nice
I popped this on my 70-200 f2.8 and began to try to find the weak spot. Never found it. The autofocus is fast and spot on. The images are just as clear and sharp as that lens delivers without the extender. Yes, you lose 2 stops of light, but there are certainly times when reach is more important. So glad to have this option in my bag for my 70-200.

Best ones I have tried
Don't know how I have flown without them. The Mini 3 Pro has such a fast lens, these filters are great for changing the f/stops on bright days. Really improve your pics and video.

Works as advertised.
Fantastic product. Works as advertised. However, the f-stops drops makes a great bit of difference.

nice lens for some uses
I shoot with compact sensor Canon DSLRs so am writing from that perspective. This is a handy lens to use on a compact sensor camera for portraits and some general photography as well. On a compact sensor this is equivalent to 80 mm so it's not a lens to take as the only lens on a vacation with a compact sensor DSLR. I have used it for portraits and gotten very nice results. Note that wide open at f1.8, it is not sharp and is in fact quite soft in focus. It sharpens up by f2.8 and does even better at f4.0. For a lens in this price range it is pretty normal to have it be soft wide open, however I was a bit disappointed, which is why I will give it a 4 stars not 5. If you would like more information on sharpness at different f-stops there are quite technical reviews which are easy to find online. Overall, it's pretty nice.
