Magic Arm with excellent workmanship at a good price
K&F Concept has established itself as a reliable manufacturer with high-quality solutions at reasonable prices and I already use various accessories from the manufacturer and am overall very satisfied with the products. That's why I was happy to take the opportunity to test this Magic Arm.
The arm is quite long at over 55 cm, but quite light due to the aluminum alloy. The joints have large and easy-to-use locking screws, which make it easier to align the arm. However, with three joint positions and therefore 6 ball heads in total, it can be a bit fiddly to get the desired position. But on the other hand, you can bring the arm into the desired position very flexibly.
A clamp is included that is as well made as the arm itself. The arm can be attached to two positions with different angles. The clamp can be easily attached to flat plates or to bars. Here, too, there is a large wing screw that is easy to use.
The arm has threaded screws (1/4” and 3/8”) on both sides and can therefore be connected to standard devices. My main use is to position my webcam (Razer Kiyo Pro). This works very well and the weight of the webcam is also no problem for this arm. In addition, I also take my arm with me on photo tours because it is pleasantly light and easy to grip with the foam. The arm is easy to attach to the Leofoto stands and thus allows you to attach a monitor or light source. Flexible positioning and secure grip are also an advantage here.
Here, K&F delivers a high-quality product at an affordable price. The workmanship is clean down to the last detail and without complaint. The consistently large locking screws are easy to operate and allow good positioning. The foam handle is well integrated into the overall picture and improves handling, especially if you want to use the arm outdoors in colder temperatures.
