I love this 1/4 Diffusion Filter from the X Series. I'm amazed at how well it transforms the atmosphere of my photos and videos. This model softens the light without losing detail and adds a very pleasing golden hue that enhances skin tones and creates a more cinematic aesthetic. Installing it on the lens is very easy thanks to its precise threading. The filter feels solid, and its frame is well-constructed with no play. The multi-coated optical glass makes all the difference; I haven't noticed any excessive loss of sharpness or unpleasant colors in any lighting condition. It handles highlights very well. The 1/4 fog effect softens glare and creates a very subtle halo. It's not an exaggerated effect; it adds a soft texture that makes the image look organic and less digital. It works very well on skin tones, but I've especially loved it in night photography, as it gives urban lights a very pleasing glow. I didn't experience any vignetting or autofocus issues. I highly recommend it for achieving a cinematic look, making it a useful accessory for both photography and video.
