I usually get cages for my action cameras in case I want more protection however, to be honest, I haven't really used them much due to various reasons. Also, when it's time to upgrade your action camera, including a cage helps with it's resell value, so I have a habit of buying them and letting them collect dust until that time. K&F really thought this cage through, and I definitely see myself using this cage while I own the Action 6.Everything about this cage is 5 stars, so lets start with the fit and function. The cage slides on and fits my Action 6 perfectly. The cage in itself is not very bulky. It looks slim, but feels strong and very secure. The buttons work perfectly and I love how I can still use my lens cap and slide-on filters with ease.I was nervous this could only be used horizontally with magnetic mounts however, I was surprised to see I can still use my magnetic mounts for both horizontal and vertical mounting. This allows me to use my magnetic light on the side, while also having a cold shoe for whatever else I may need it for.I was also surprised to see this cage has a battery door!! There's also an opening for the USB-C charging port however, the cage is a little bit in the way of it, making it a tight fit when charging or off-loading footage, but it still works fine for me. Too bad K&F didn't include a lens cap. You can never have enough of those.Other than that, I think I'll keep this cage on at all times and see how I like it. It adds a tad bit of weight and bulk however, this is the first time I'm excited to use a cage for any action camera I've used!
