Great product, unfortunately had a suction cup let loose, after falling off my truck a car ran over my camera, Other than the protective lens being cracked, this unit saved my camera. Highly recommend, build tough.

Product arrived promptly and free of damage or defect.Action cameras are made to shoot, well... ACTION! And who says action also says strong potential for a crash LOL. Protection seems a very good idea so I decided to grab this product.PROS:+ I was impressed by the quality of this cage. truly feels solid and excellent machining work.+ I like the colors ;)+ Protects even your buttons, which is a nice plus+ Fits the camera like a glove+ Gives you a cold shoe slot to attach an accessory+ Gives you one treaded hole on one side to attach one more accessory+ Orange latch had just the right amount of tension to keep cage closed, but not so much that I had to battle with it to open it. that was also a pleasant surprise.CONS:- Only one threaded hole, but not sure how much stuff you would be able to attach to such a tiny camera, even if you had a bunch more holes LOL.VERDICT:Grabbing one of these seems like a no brainer to me, so I give it a green light!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This review is an accurate assessment of this product at the time review was written. This cage feels like it was made by people who actually use action cameras.The aluminum build is sturdy without adding unnecessary weight, and it wraps the Osmo Action 6 perfectly.The extra mounting options really open things up, adding a mic, light, or tripod is quick and secure thanks to the cold shoe and standard 1/4” mount.I also appreciate the quick-release design, which makes switching setups fast when you’re on the move.The internal padding helps absorb bumps.There was no lens cover:(Installation is effortless with the snap-on locking system—no tools, no frustration. Overall, this is a high-quality, thoughtfully engineered cage that’s perfect for creators who want protection and flexibility without slowing down.

This cage is the perfect size for the Action 6 with no pressure needed to close and latch the cage. The functionality is enhanced by the cold shoe and the magnetic mount points are available in the same locations. The camera functions are easy to access. I'm a little split on this cage vs the one I have been using. This one looks better with the black finish and I like the push to unlock button vs the slide to open on the side door. On the flip side though this has a non recessed shutter button and the latch to open the cage has a raised edge that makes it more likely a corner bump could cause the cage to pop open. This one also has a power button that is non recessed vs having the power button on the camera bare and protected by the cage edges. I intend to keep this on for now because the black finish is less likely to show up in a reflection like the silver one I have been using. I will keep an eye out for the latch and any unintended shutter or power button activations and reevaluate if necessary.

I recently picked up an Action 6 and was looking for a strong, sturdy cage for it. I like cages for these cameras because you can mount attachments either on the side or the bottom, which makes for some very nice shooting versatility.At first, the cage does feel pretty rigid and kind of makes you hesitant about sliding your camera into the slot. However, it's actually a perfect fit. You don't feel like you're doing anything to the camera that you wouldn't want to do. Once it's seated, the unit fits very snug inside the cage, which is exactly what you want.A very nice bonus is that both sides of the cage open, so you can get at either the battery or the memory card from either side without having to completely remove the camera from the cage. This is an excellent feature for anyone who's doing action shots on the go and might need to swap their battery or the card for more memory. It also has an attachment point at the top for either a microphone or some other accessory you might want to mount, like an LED light for extra support in low light situations.In just my short time of using this, I'm really liking it so far. If you're looking for a cage, take a look at this one. I was expecting a solid cage for my action 6 camera. When I received the product, it's as good as advertised. I don't even need to read the instructions. It's so easy to use.

The cage fits perfectly around my new Action 6, and the latch closes firmly. Very good quality build, the hinges to the machining. I hope I never get my camera into a situation the cage is needed, but if it happens this will protect well direct damage to the camera.

I sort of didn't really understand why you'd get an aluminum cage like this for your action camera, but now after playing around with it, I see the benefits. For one it is the extra protection. If you're doing some extreme stuff like rock climbing I can see how this would really protect the camera. Second, it does add some amount of compatibility. I have only used it to screw into a tripod on both sides, the portrait or landscape, and you can't easily do that without this case. I do love that you still have access to everything with a quick flip of a cover, to charge, get the battery out, change to footing, etc. I mostly keep I in the housing now as I thought the extra weight would be a nuance, but it actually feels better filming with the extra mass and weight.

As someone who is constantly on the go, dropping your camera is bound to happen. Which is has already happened with this protective case; it’s a snug fit for my DJI Osmo Action 6 camera and provides an extra layer of protection to prevent damage. I was trying to film some plants in my area and the camera from 20 feet and hit the ground hard.The camera survived surprisingly and the case only suffered some minor scratches on the side. For the price, that is impressive. Other thing to mention is that the front of the case is clear, when the camera is on it doesn’t mess with the picture quality of the focus. It acts if nothing is there, but I would avoid getting it damage since it could be affected.Lastly, this isn’t 100% water proof! It’s water resistant. I made the mistake leaving it out in the rain and a few drops of water made it inside. It didn’t cause any immediate damage but I would avoid all forms liquids entirely. After these extensive tests using real world situations , 4 stars is appropriate; while this will protect your DJI camera from falls and drops, it will absolutely not be suitable for wet conditions. Which limits its effectiveness in different environments.
