Dependable, compact early warning of CO
Lightweight (3.8 oz.). Long battery life. In my endurance tests the audible low battery alarm sounded after 103 hours. Thats over 4 full days with me bumping it up to full brightness 5 or 6 times a day. During that 103 hours it was always on and armed. After the first 5 minutes the screen dims to save power but the device is still detecting. Testing the alarm with auto exhaust, it responded within 2 seconds. The alarm detection threshold is adjustable from 25 ppm all the way up to 125 ppm. I liked that feature. The temperature was within 1 degree of a calibrated device and the humidity was with 3% of a calibrated device. Screen is difficult to read in full sun or while wearing polarized sun glasses. I use this for car camping and for taking naps at work in my car with the engine running. Nice backup if I'm going to be using propane or butane in the car. An absolute necessity for using a portable generator. Small engines make me uneasy. A gas powered push mower makes a little over ten times as much CO as my 3.8 liter Toyota V6.
