I'm not using the Oqitiq holder in a car but rather to mount an old smartphone just above my computer screen so it is clearly visible while I'm working. The smartphone has been converted for use as a monitor for one of my security cameras so I can keep an eye on what else is going on in the house. I use the suction mount (it comes with an optional sticky mount or vent louver mount) and so far it has gripped like glue, holding the phone rock solid. The mounting arm allows easy adjustment up and down and can then be locked in place with a knob. The phone can be rotated 360 degrees if needed. The telescoping arm is a little underwhelming with just 1 5/8" of travel but it does help get things adjusted just right. The only real issue I have is the release button on back of the unit. To apply enough pressure to release you need to place a thumb on the phone screen and then squeeze or else do it two handed by gripping near the side clams with one hand and pressing the button with the other. Not a huge deal for my setup since I rarely remove the phone but could be a little annoying for everyday use.

I did an incredible amount of research on baby monitors before my son was born and this one consistently came up with positive reviews and as top rated throughout my research. We LOVE it! It’s a reasonable price in comparison to so many other monitors. The picture quality is great and I love that I can talk to my son through the monitor for a little extra fun. We didn’t want a monitor that connected to WiFi for security purposes and we couldn’t be happier with this one. The night vision is clear and we tested the range and can take the screen across the street into our neighbor’s yard before we start getting notifications that the antenna range is getting a little weak, it still works in their yard though! The temp on the screen is also nice, but also keep in mind where the camera is mounted. Ours is mounted near the ceiling so it tends to show a couple of degrees warmer than the actual room temp. I’m pretty sure you can add additional cameras too and still use the same monitor which will be great if we have more kids. We’re so pleased and this was a fantastic investment!

I purchased the whole August Home smart lock system (3rd generation) to manage who has access to my hair salon, since I lease the space for different times on different days. Despite some of the poor reviews I have read, I have not had any problems with it! It's nice being able to have control from anywhere, and to be able to know who is going in and out of my salon and at what times. I do not have to worry about people taking advantage of the lease agreement. Although I do have cameras, I simply cannot watch them and check on them all the time. This gives peace of mind!Only issue I had was with installing the app and connecting with the device. The instructions are npt layed out very well for connecting the system. The installation instructions are perfect! But the box itself did not tell me that there were step by step instructions on their app, which I had to figure out for myself. Once the instructions show you how to install the hardware, then you're pretty much on your own to figure out how to connect everything in the right order!

Works almost flawlessly, only fails to unlock upon arrival once in a blue moon. Lack of remote unlock function without the connect or another hub seems like a seriously annoying omission. I'm trying to get mine setup with my Apple TV and its a nightmare, might just break down and buy the connect. On the pus side, no monthly fees and a blind idiot could install this thing. One of the easiest installations with the best instructions of any product approaching this level of complexity I've ever encountered. Lutron and Belkin, you should be taking notes from the guys that designed this. I have lights, shades, cameras, echos, and other smart home items, and I have to say this one was probably the simplest install of them all.Update***Not the fault of August, but I bought a beautiful new painted fiberglass door that is almost all glass (thermatru). There isn't enough clearance left for me to reinstall the August on my new door, I tried everything but the trim around the window sticks out too far for me to get the wing latches to close. Beware if you have a glass door or door that is mostly window.

I find this unit particularly interesting because of several features unusual for the price, if not at any price point. The metal construction looks good and feels solid. The fit when it comes to connecting a power cable to the back of the unit is very good. The battery life is easily 10 hours regardless the type of use, which is excellent, especially for a unit that has been around for more than a couple of years. The ability to have decent sound from front and back is very nice and not usual, especially for a unit that small. I have a special fondness for the possiblity to dress the unit up with a case (provided separately); note that I included the case in the pics I attached. Even though the case is made of rubber material, it gives the unit a more vintage look, and the fact that you can attach a wrist lanyard is very convenient to carry the unit, not too mention it help beautify its overall appearance. The optional case is definitely a unique add, I wish it would be available in leather, like the cases used by vintage cameras, but am happy it exists. The radio with its integrated antenna doesn't give great reception in my experience, but I bought the unit mostly to listen to podcasts. Very happy with the unit and its uniqueness.

I had a motorola baby monitor with my first kid that never really worked properly. I actually ended up returning it several times under warranty before I eventually settled on a lesser model (which I still didnt love). So when I got pregnant again, I knew I wanted a different brand. I did a ton of research and came across this one. I was pregnant with triplets so I loved how easy it seemed to add cameras while also being affordable. The product has been fantastic and I have never had any issues...until recently the part where the power cord plugs into the monitor came loose and it no longer charged. I contacted customer service, and even though I was out of my warranty, they sent me a new monitor free of charge. The lady I worked with was so nice and responsive (Kristine Z). She would reply almost immediately to my emails. This just shows they stand behind their product. My new monitor works perfectly and I can see my triplets while they are sleeping again. I absolutely love this brand and product. You won't be disappointed!

Was looking for a lower cost Go Pro and this is it. Its durable and water resistant. It takes good video. It doesn't have high end features like 4K or good low light sensitivity. Who cares. The software works ok on the Iphone. Its a bit sketchy. The battery life is short which is expected, it takes a long time to charge ~4 hours maybe. Two important points:1. The little door that covers the usb and SD micro card sux. I gently pried it open twice with a screwdriver (too small a slit for a coin) and the plastic started to bend and almost break. I put a piece of tape on the inside of the door to act as a pulltab to open the door. This probably compromises the water proof seal which isn't very good anyway so:2. Buy the waterproof box. Its cheap and I don't trust the tiny seal that covers the cameras usb and SDmicro door.3. One more bonus tip: The cam uses a 32 bit filesystem so its going to split up video file into 3.9GB chunks (abotu 35 minutes of 1080 60fps)
