Did not make any difference with my GoPro audio.
I use this microphone with a GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter on my Hero 7 Black and it works great. It has never let me down and I shoot a lot of outdoors video on my hiking excursions in the Shenandoah Mountains. Better than the internal GoPro Mic (which isn’t bad).On my GoPro, I set the “Audio Input” to “Standard Mic” and I get superior audio quality. I jury-rigged a foam windscreen over the mic for those windy days. I also have a cat-tail I can use as well.
