These batteries are well made and fit my gear perfectly. I found that they last similarly to my other batteries. I’ve cycled through the batteries multiple times with my lights set at 70 to 100% power, and they last consistently about an hour to an hour and a half (similar to the original batteries). I had no issues with overheating while in use or while charging. The charger is nice and small and easy to keep in the gear bag. I’ve also used the batteries with monitors and they worked fine and I had no drop in power or flickers. The charger is a little slow to charge, but I use it overnight so it’s not a huge deal. There are lights on the charger to indicate when the charging is in use and complete. The lights are independent for each battery (so if one is complete and the other isn’t, you know which one is finished). Everything seems durable. I would like to see plastic cases included for the batteries. For those of us who are always toting equipment, it seems like it would protect the batteries better when on the go.

These are great NPF-type batteries and chargers. The charger is straightforward to use. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C but not with a power adapter, so keep this in mind. And when you do this, you'll probably want to use a higher wattage power adapter rather than a lower one to speed up the charging. The charger dock does control the amount of power input, so there's no worry about over-powering the dock and batteries. The size and weight of these NPf batteries are good, as you would expect them to be. The performance of these batteries is good considering the fact that they are 3rd party brand, but K&F have been doing a really great job.

These fit perfect. The make of the fitting components are exactly the same as my other batteries that came with the different lighting and monitor accessories that I have. The fancy logo is all that is missing.

The battery lasts a long time. The capacity seems to be the same as my other 970 sized batteries. Very happy about this. I have a light that really sucks the juice and it's very nice to have these larger sized batteries.

I have a couple of different NP-style charge bases and this seems to be in line with the other 2 Amp charging base. They do take a long time to charge though, but I just likened that to the capacity. The charge base is oddly lighter that my other charge bases, so something is different. Always good to have an extra on hand, but I'll be using my other charger with input and capacity displays.

These are great batteries, but you'll probably need a better charger. If you want the gist of the review, that's it.

They seem to have high quality cells inside and are probably one of the best third party NP-F battery options out there. First of all, the batteries came at exactly 7.8V storage voltage. That's a good sign on its own, but both of them arriving right on point at 7.8V can't be a coincidence. Someone is clearly paying attention during production, and the cells seem more than capable of holding that storage voltage.

Another thing that made me trust these is the honest capacity rating. NP-F capacity claims have gotten so out of hand that it's nearly impossible to know what you're actually getting. These are rated at 6,600 mAh and clearly labeled as real capacity, which seems realistic for the NP-F970 form factor. I appreciate that instead of jumping into the endless capacity inflation game, they're being straightforward about what they deliver.

So if you're in my situation where you already have decent chargers for your NP-F batteries and you're just looking for reliable cells, this is probably one of the best bets from a third party. But if this is your first set and you're thinking about relying on the included charger, you may find it's not up to the task for keeping these in constant rotation. The charger outputs 8.4V at 700 mA on a single slot, and drops to 500 mA per slot when both are occupied. When you do the math, you're looking at well over 12 hours for a full charge. More like 14 to 15 hours realistically. So if you plan on putting them in daily use, you're going to want a dedicated charger or an NP-F plate that doubles as one.

Around the time I ordered these they were priced a bit higher than I'd prefer, but I see they've come down since then, making the listing price more reasonable. Still not the cheapest option, but the difference between a random no-name NP-F battery and a set you know is going to perform is definitely worth paying for.

I'm used to the much smaller NP-F550 batteries and these offer so much more capacity. So I am very happy with the extra capacity, but I don't yet have any other NP-F970 to compare with. However shopping around on Amazon it does look like these are priced slightly on the high side. The seller did drop the price by about $10 since I ordered mine, which helps brings the pricing more in line with the competition. Some other options in this price bracket have higher capacities though as well.

I'm personally using them with the Godox Litemons LP600R light panels and these are working great for that and allow for much longer sessions than I get with the smaller NP-F550 batteries. The charger works fine but is a little underpowered so the charging time could be improved.

I'd say that the price & capacity vs other options along with the slower charger would drop my rating down to 4.5 stars but as we can't give half stars on Amazon I'm rounding up to 5 as I think 4 stars would be too low in my opinion since these are still great batteries.

My ring light came with a power cord but I noticed it has the capacity to hold two NP-F970 batteries also. I jumped on the opportunity to use the batteries because they eliminated the hazard that comes with long cords while doing studio photography. The value for the cost is phenomenal because of the independent shooting you can do outdoors without having to look for a power source. Safety alone makes this worth it. The battery quality exceeds my expectations because I use my lights on a high setting and they do not drain fast. Battery life appears to be good but if that changes, I’ll provide an update. The lasted an entire shooting day for me with moderate shooting use. The fact this comes with a charger is also a bonus. You can charge your batteries while using power or take the charger on the go with you when traveling. Good deal and better product.
