I have owned a Rode mic in the past that was great, but these must be 2nd hand or I don't know what's going on with them. The boxes were all beat up. The 1st one I got didn't work at all in my sony a6400. So I thought maybe it was just a dud and ordered another one. The 2nd one did work, but in any kind of wind it cracks out even at the lowest audio setting on the sony DSLR. I switched to a different mic now that works great. It's past the return time for the item so I can't send them back since I was on a trip filming for a couple weeks and didn't have a chance to test them. My buddy has the Rode micro and it works great in my camera so I hate to leave a 1 star review but I now have 2 of these mics and can't use either of them... Partly my fault because I should have tested them right away in the window time frame to return them, but I travel and film for work so I wasn't able to. I would change my rating if I can get some help on this issue. PS: It's not a chord issue. I tried the working chord for my other mics in them along with the ones they came with. I also put an additional foam inside the deadcat mic for wind and it still didn't fix the issue.
