Works well but more suited for laptop
Quality seems very good, works out of box. I got it to put it on my monitor for work VC, rather than use my laptop webcam. However, at a typical monitor distance of 2 to 3 feet (vs much closer for a laptop), the light doesn't do much in lighting up the face, even when turned on high. When looked at directly, the circular light is bright, so I guess the problem is the light is just too small for that distance. I guess that's why streamers use a 6" or bigger standalone light circle.From a monitor distance, the field of view is also too wide for work VCs. When I looked it up, the Angetube's field of view was roughly the same as other webcams including my prior Logitech, so can't fault Angetube for that per se. But I took one star off for this reason because Angetube did not make it clear it really only lights up the face if nearfield--for their website pictures, the webcam must be really, really close given the close-up / narrow field of view.
