Does what it needs to but still has room for improvement
I got the variable filter so I could 1. take pictures outdoors in bright light without messing with my f-stop. 2. Not have to have several filters with me.Pros:It's variable so I can adapt for whatever the outside throws at me.It's inexpensive compared to othersYou get a lot of stops to choose fromMight be able to use the max setting for solar eclipse portraits.Cons:It doesn't have any hard stops or clicks when your changing from one setting to another.Stops are denoted by Min, then boxes, then Max at the end but you can keep going beyond Max or before Min to basically do a 360 rotationSome vignetting at max (see sun picture). The various stops are only noted by boxes rather than numbers.Has a carrying case, but would rather have a pouch or something else.Basically all the cons are ways this thing could be improved Firstly I'd like to see some hard stops put in at min and max, and then noticeable feedback when you go from stop to stop. I get the smooth gliding MIGHT be used during filming or continual shots, but I doubt that.Ultimately, this filter will serve until I can afford a higher end one.

Good scope for beginners
5-inch SCT collects enough light to see planets and moon. You can barely see Jupiter and Saturn. Mars is a dot. Moon is visible with good magnification and details. You can’t see nebulae or galaxies. Andromeda is a dark barely visible blob, even though it is the closest galaxy. This scope is not useful for astrophotography on this Alt-Az mount. You can use this scope itself on a separate equatorial mount for good deep sky imaging, however most equipment is built for 2-inch eye piece ports, this one has 1.2-inch. Of course you can buy an adapter too, but you lose part of the imaging sensor due to smaller hole emitting light. This scope is best for kids or someone on a budget.

excellent - viewing in Germany
Excellent product! Recommend highly. Able to view out my back porch into the German fields and tree lines seeing wild life l can not see with the naked eye. Moon viewing is greatly enhanced. Easy to handle one handed.

Highly recommend!
Great pocket telescope. I was debating between this and a monocular. I am glad I went with the pocket telescope. The optics are great, the focus adjustment is easy, lightweight, small footprint in my backpack, and it is powerful enough to clearly see craters on the moon.

Highly recommended and very stable.
Bought this telescope as a gift for my boyfriend,He loves it. We can see the moon from our apartment, we can’t wait to go to an outdoors park with less light around to have a full sky view. Brings 3 lenses To have different distances on the objects your trying to see. Has stability and great quality so far.

Great Telescope For Kids Starting Astronomy
The product is a great tool for helping start those who wish to look up at the stars. It's a great tool before spending hundreds or thousands on a specialized scope. It has been a joy to see the face of the children when they see the moon, or other celestial bodies, up close for the first time with their own eyes. This has been a great purchase

Very good for the price
Very good for the price. It's much cheaper and easier to use this to gaze at the moon than any telescope. You cannot see quite as much detail, but more than enough to get you started in Astronomy without a big cash outlay.
