Solid mount apart from the tripod connector.
The tripod mount is VERY handy but it can become lose quickly - for this reason I carry a small screw driver in my camera bag. Otherwise a very solid adapter.

Very sturdy tripod with lots of adjustments
This tripod is really sturdy. I have a star tracker and Cannon Rebel T6 with a 659-1300 lens mounted on it. Even extended to full height, it is rock solid. Easy adjustments, smooth panning, and versatility make this tripod a solid choice.
