It works if you're not a pro or rely on it for income.
The filter holding assembly is a little convoluted and not very intuitive to figure out with installing the filters into it. The optical clarity of the filters also needs to improve. They're clear but they could at least have some other type of coating on them to make them clearer. The build quality of the plastic filter holder is also poor, there were a lot of unfinished edges and mould cut lines. Other than those issues, I like the broad versatility of this filter set.

Protective Filter
Once I placed it on the lens, it was there, during all shots, no disturbances in the operation of telescoping, or front cap placement. I am not sure if this part causes lens hood hard to put it on. I am not sure. But, with lens filter picture quality did not change. I used the camera with slight drizzle in Canada, and kind of fog during Whale Chasing in the Pacific Ocean, and Camera was protected from sun and reasonable type of weathers.

Good Camera! Major shortcoming is there's no provision for privacy blocking of the lens. It was a standard feature on my 7 year old camera Logitech camera. I feel silly to have to use a post it to secure the camera.

Lightweight and easy to handle
Lightweight and fully adjustable. Easily attaches to my backpack when hiking and light enough that it hardly seems like it is there. Comes with a quick release plate that attaches to the camera body (or lens mount) and makes it quicker to set-up on the tri-pod. The down side to this set-up is if you change between the camera body and a lens mount, you will need to remove the plate from the camera body and install it on the lens. If you use you camera with multiple lenses (that use a mount), go ahead save yourself the headache and order extra quick release plates to use on each of these items.

Amazing step up and useful for wildlife
Great lens for the price. I got mine on sale for around $400 from tristate camera. I use the lens on a 7D for wildlife and although it falls short for distance it really isn’t too bad with the crop factor. It is a great step up from the kit lens and I highly recommend it.

Cheap and great quality!
While this might be much cheaper compared to a Canon brand lens, it works very well. I can say that it may have a slightly poorer quality than an expensive Canon brand lens, but it is subtle. If you're in need of a polarizing lens for your camera without breaking the budget, this is perfect.

I wanted a camera body exactly like the camera I gave my husband for a birthday present in 2010 so that I could use my new big lens on it and he could still use the lens he wanted to use for landscapes without fighting about who got to use the camera. The camera body arrived quickly, was reasonably priced and worked just like the other one. I was very happy.

Well Worth the Price, Even on a Crop Sensor
This lens has been a great starter lens for me. Even on with the APS-C sensor on my rebel, the lens is versatile enough for most of my situations. Definitely the best portrait lens that I could ask for, especially given the price. Since I do have a crop sensor, I will probably look into a shorter lens that is more "normal" for my camera. The 50 mm is equivalent to an 80 mm on my crop sensor. Even with the longer effective focal length considered, this lens is incredibly fast and well worth it.
