Great Performance for the Price
I bought this tripod to try in place of my basic one that I bought from the local camera store. The build quality on this K&F model is nice. The head and moving parts feel good in the hand. The telescoping poles feel thin but that is needed to keep the weight down. As long as you aren’t dropping it off a roof or running it over with a car you will be fine.
The adjustment knobs lock securely with several points of adjustment. The dot level can be difficult to read if the tripod is in a higher position than your eyes. I really wanted this for the monopod feature and it works just right. My other tripod, the monopod was very short and unusable.
The included arca plate is nice and the mount accepts my square Peak Design plates with a snug fit. I shoot with a Canon R10 with lenses as small as a 16mm to the heavy and long RF 100-500mm L lens. The tripod is sturdy with both of them. The foot grips could be a little bit longer to dig into dirt for more stability. The yaw and pitch rotations are smooth for this price of product; don’t expect the fluidity and response of a $500 tripod. I think it would perform very well
with an added gimbal for panning shots.
Finally, the included case is a nice quality with a padded velcro handgrip, shoulder carrying strap, nice shape/materials, and big zippers. The case quality was a pleasant surprise another tripod I had tried from another company was more expensive with a very cheap case.
