Light stand Compact, lightweight and very sturdy
The light stand comes in an unpadded but sturdy and well-made bag. It has a simple carrying strap and is also used to store and safely transport the stand. The stand is surprisingly small when folded. If the 3 legs are folded down, folded out in the first step and all rods extended, the stand actually reaches a height of 2 meters and is stable and secure. This applies in particular to indoor use under normal load. By folding out the feet by a further 2 steps, stability increases enormously. If the feet are not fully extended, a hook attached to the main joint is used to pick up weights (sandbags) and can thus significantly increase stability even in windy conditions. The feet can be folded out and locked in a 20, 50, 80 degree position. In the 80-degree position, a diameter of 116 cm is reached. That is certain. The orange anodized clamps lock securely and securely. (Plus, they just look good in contrast with the black pipes). The stand immediately creates a harmonious impression between weight and stability. The joint and clamps are made of plastic. This is obviously very stable. In any case, all parts are well made. The black coating of aluminum tubes has so far proven to be scratch-resistant. The upper 1/4" thread connection with the “spigot” (?) -Adapter allows a wide range of connections. Thanks to the small pack size, the very quick assembly and disassembly by simply folding the feet, the great stability and versatility, this stand is used much more often than expected. There is no barrier when it comes to transportation or assembly as everything is very simple. A very big advantage of this stand concept from K&F Concept. The review is no longer unbiased at this point, I just like this stand too much. The only thing missing is a second one. Therefore an unreserved recommendation and earned 5 stars in many respects. The 3 feet should not be pushed all the way to the stop. If a gap of 10 mm remains, the upper 1/4" thread connection or the transport container is better protected, as this part will then not stick out of the stand. (The rubber feet are glued on can still be removed and put back on again. Secure a 10 millimetre-long piece of hose or something similar over the feet on the lower part of the pipe so that the feet will not slide all the way into the next pipe). On the center column, I put a neutral ring over each clamp. This creates a buffer when the pipes are pushed together.
