Heavy but sturdy.
I have found nothing that I dislike about this tripod. I have a lighter carbon fiber tripod and wanted another that was heavier with less flex for long exposures. This tripod fits the bill perfectly. It is well constructed. The legs are a little stiff. But I prefer stiff to floppy. The versatility of the extra arm and ball pivot is fantastic. Allowing more options when composing a shot. Will probably use the carbon fiber option for long treks as this will add considerably more weight to my backpack.
