Sound Quality & Battery Life Are Great
The sound quality for this product is superb! It has not background, lingering sounds that sometimes comes with low end ear buds. The volume can go so loud it will block out any outside noise and its the only thing you can hear but heads up that anyone closeby will be able to hear what you are listening to once the volume is at his highest on the devices it is connected it as well as the ear buds. Black means it never gets dirty :) it fits in my ears well and doesn't fall out when I am exercising, jumping jacks, ropes etc. The battery life can last for up to 6 hours or even more depending on how loud you play and whenever you put the buds back in the box it automatically charges it back up, which is an added bonus for me. Charge can take between 1 - 2 hours for the box when its dead dead :)

Better than M50x!
I originally bought the ATH M50x's and returned them (thank you Amazon for making it so easy), because I felt too much bass intrusion --and a less forward midrange. I did a lot of additional listening to other closed headphones that I could borrow or find in retail stores that fell between $100 and $200 price range. These included the Brainwavz HM5, Sennheiser HD 280 Pro and HD 380 Pro, AKG K 240 MK II, and others. (The one set of cans I didn't try--and wish I would have to compare these against--are the NVX Audio XPT100. I know they are supposedly Brainwavz HM5 clones but because of their very different earpad architecture, may have a very different sound signature that is also appealing. Anybody who has, please drop me a note here.)I eventually decided on the ATH-M40X for a simple reason: While they are "flat"-- as in pretty accurate--like some of the other reference items mentioned above, they have just enough "color" to offer a solid signature, particular in the midrange where so many sounds get lost these days, without sacrificing bass or highs. I realize this is a personal preference, and if I were a true studio recording engineer, this might have been a downside instead of a plus, but all listening is subjective. I have read some listeners have had minor issues with sibilance on female vocals, but I did not find that to be true at all. What I got were crisp, accurate--not harsh--highs (maybe lower bitrate mp3s would have this problem, but I never listen to anything below 320 kps, and usually lossless, vinyl and CD quality recordings) and there is plenty of tight bottom without the muddy, flabby loose feel in many modern headphones--even in dance music and hip hop.I found separation excellent, sound isolation is very good (they are closed)--if not exceptional--and listening with and without a headphone amp pleasurable and comfortable right out of the box. The sound has only gotten better with use. I have an average size head and do wear glasses, so a few hours (5-6) of listening was quite easy. The M40x is for my home critical listening, they don't require an amp due to the smaller drivers than the M50x and can easily be driven by a smartphone or tablet and provide plenty of non-distorted volume. That said, using am amp, they can be driven without distortion. (Admission: For all day use --nine hours minimum-- I review music for a living--I use Sennheiser 439s, but not because they are better sound-wise, but because they are so lightweight and the pads so comfortable, I can wear them for 12 hours without a break.)These phones are also solidly built, contain two detachable (primary) cables, an adapter plug and a carrying bag. I bought a case, but really, these are hardcore physically and shouldn't need it, I'm just obsessive. For the price range I was seeking, I couldn't find any cans I liked better than the M40x.

Excellent customer service!
I originally had some trouble with device reporting WiFi password incorrect even though password was correct finally trouble shot and rectified. I set unit up followed all instructions and instantly went into device offline mode while mounting, followed instructions emailed for help from company even after charging and following all trouble shooting procedures nothing blank dead no life sync button did nothing won't start and it's charged. Returned unit I may have got a manufacturer defect. Nick from Noorio reached out to confirm issues I was having with device and to better understand the problems I had so they can repair and or prevent it from happening again. Noorio team provided me with a new unit immediately with free delivery. Set unit up via app no issues with the new unit crystal clear visibility, motion dection notifys me via app, I can talk and hear clearly. I recommend this device to people who do not want to pay a subscription but want a camera. For NOORIO to reach out to a customer having issues and help them out and backup there product is good.

A non-expert, average-guy's point of view
Full disclosure: I'm an average guy who's by no means an expert technical engineer 'audiophile', just someone who listens to music all the time.Maybe I dont have the most discerning ear (probably like most of you), but I listen to a wide variety of music daily (industrial, newwave, classical, goth, synthpop, britpop, country), both at my desk, and on my everyday subway commute (NYC).Pre-Purchase Concerns:- should I get bluetooth headphones instead, to avoid the cable clutter and snagging that happens at times?- Should I get on-ear/over-ear/earbuds?- Will these be uncomfortable or hot?Decision Drivers:- Great price versus comparable bluetooth.- Expert reviews saying this is not bass-heavy, and has wide soundstage- Having way too many gadgets already that require charging. While many bluetooth headphones have corded backup options, sound quality, price, and comfort were my main interests.Post-Purchase Thoughts:- BEYOND happy that I bought these!- Very comfortable and light, can wear them for hours- Great noise isolation (I ride loud subways daily), I can hear enough if there's an emergency, but not the regular din/noise around me. This might be a concern for some who need to be able to hear if someone is calling them.- Not hot. Mind you, the weather now is cool, and this is actually a plus in that they'll keep my ears warm during the cold months. Will probably be too hot in the summer time, we'll see. In the office they're fine, not too warm at all.- Sound: Everyone has different preferences obviously. I love that these arent bass heavy and overwhelming. I agree with reviewers saying there's a wide and clear sound stage. I'm hearing things in my music that I never noticed before with cheaper headphones, its often like listening to something for the first time again. This is not to say there's NO bass. It delivers plenty (for me) and I use equalizer settings to fine tune to my tastes, which everyone really should do.- Cord: This is a little bit of a question mark to me. Why would AT have a proprietary locking mechanism that limits which cables I can purchase/plug? Maybe I'm mistaken and any other one would work as well?- Build: mixed feelings. Others say its flimsy compared to some headphones due to all the plastic. I think it makes them nice and light, and no issues/concerns so far. I dont beat them up though or jam them in my backpack/bag. We'll see how long the pivoting piece lasts.- Out of House: Have read various reviews elsewhere saying these arent great for on-the-go. I disagree and don't see why they'd be any different than other over-ear cans. As mentioned, I walk with these everywhere, and commute on crowded subways, and they've been great. Much preferred to more 'portable' earbuds for me. I think theyre even fine for the gym (not necessarily running, but weight routines)

Compact and Accurate!
Right from the get go I want to say that I was very impressed with this little rangefinder. It's definitely a quality unit and it's accurate. The unit is presented in a nice retail style box and all of the included items are securely packed. The included accessories are a storage case, a small lanyard and a short USB charging cable. It also comes with a little card indicating that it has a two year warranty and includes some customer service contacts. I think that's a nice touch.I very much like the fact that this uses a rechargeable battery and not costly disposable ones and the bigger plus is that it comes with USB-C style charging cable so it's more up-to-date and in line with what many of your current electronic devices are probably using. That really helps to keep things consistent and if you end up misplacing one of your charging cables you're probably not going to be left in the lurch because you've got several others that will also work just fine. The rangefinder itself is incredibly easy to use. There's no fancy external LCD display or anything like that. You simply look directly into the rangefinder and You will see all relevant info superimposed directly onto the site image while pointing the unit at your "target". It's all very intuitive and I was able to basically figure it all out without even opening the little included manual. Easy Peezy! The unit has very good build quality and I like it's compactness. It does have texturing on the sides and it's relatively easy to hold on to. However, I do have a little bit of a gripe here. It almost feels like you were holding onto a bar of soap! It's basically like a little brick shape. I feel that a little bit more contours or sculpting would have helped this feel a bit more ergonomic in the hand. I would strongly suggest you attach the little included lanyard to the specific point on the unit itself and wrap that around your wrist when using it to help keep you from dropping it on the ground or losing while standing at the edge of a water feature!!The protective carry case is nice and does feel sturdy and durable. It has a carabiner attached and thats great for "locking" onto your belt loop or the side of your golf bag for even more protection. On the whole, I do like this product. It is of very good quality and it appears to be very accurate in actual use and is feature rich while being incredibly easy to operate. I think the overall ergonomics could be a little bit better, but this is still a very good rangefinder. I am not saying this is the best available at this price point by any means, but this is certainly worth a second look and being put on your "consideration list" if you happen to be shopping around. I also think that it is very giftable and any golfer would certainly be very appreciative if they were receiving the gift.

mighty and useful little light, with great feature
The Godox C5R RGB Camera Video Light, Portable LED Panel Video Light 360° Full Color CRI 96+, Dimmable 2500K-8500K, with 39 Fx Lighting Effects, Magnetic Attraction, App Control and Wireless Charging: Is one of these LED puck lights that are super popular right now. And for good reason, they are super versatile and useful. Godox in particular makes some really good ones and are known for their color accuracy and light efficiency. I am a commercial photographer and often do color critical work. I have used Godox for years in the mix with the big, famous, expensive brands, and the quality of their light stands up. They offer several models with different features and power levels. This one is medium power, (but very impressive for it's size), and rather feature packed.The. fixture comes with a nice storage pouch and a silicone diffuser. There is also a USB C to A charging cable and a fixed cold-shoe adapter. The fixture itself is all metal with a magnetic back, awesome feature! There is a small screen on the top, mode button and dials on the side, 1/4 20 socket on the bottom and charging port on. the other side. You can power it with a cord or battery. The included diffuser is effective without cutting too much light. I would replace the cold-shoe adapter personally. One of the things that makes this model shine is the Godox Light app. I have several other Godox lights that also use this app. The app lets you control groups and scenes and every feature of the light. These lights are great fill lights and accent lights. They excel at punching up a shadow in a room or sneaking into a small space. I think that these lights are most useful if you use several to create accents and fill light in a room or scene. Most of these little pucks are not that bright. You will not be filling a set with light with one of these. They are not for that. I use them for architecture photography, lifestyle and video, products and tabletop. Several used together, can also create colorful backgrounds and effects for video. The C5R is a very well built, solid, rugged, flexible, little workhorse, that is reasonably bright for it's size. I do have a slightly larger one from Godox that's much brighter, however that model does not use the app. These are also brilliant for phone photographers. You can match the color of the ambient light to achieve a much better result with your phones camera, compared to the built in phone light. I have been a user of Godox professionally for years and the C5R is a great little addition to the tool set.

Great flash, excellent design
For people who have been doing photography for a while it’s interesting that the controls on the flash haven’t really seem to change for about 40 years. Same buttons same orientation same functions. And it’s funny because the controls are pretty much laid out the same on this unit as well but they did finally update the screen. After decades of having the same screen on the back of the flash they finally made the output a little more easy to read with better functionality and I really appreciate that. The fit and finish on this is typical of NEEWER Quality which is to say it’s extremely well-built and looks very fine and professional. The unit has a nice field to it with just the right weight that you want from my flash. Not too heavy but not so light that it feels cheap. And you get quite a bit of flash out of this pretty much what you would expect from a large flies unit from any of the big camera manufacturers, Who tend to put out extremely overpriced speedlights for some reason.I have a lot of flash accessories and many of them are designed for the standard rectangular flash head and so they will not work well with this, but I also have some other soft boxes and reflectors which actually perform much better when fitted around a round flash head. I think it’s a more natural thing to have a round reflector on the end of a flash. They are starting to become much more popular and it wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the standard for a flash unit to be round rather than rectangular.Otherwise the functions are all very similar and this is an extremely high-quality flash at a very affordable price if you look at the competition. This particular unit is designed for Canon TTL. It’s important to note that in my decades of being a photographer I have never once met a professional who used flashes on anything other than manual mode. So it is not necessary to own a Canon to get good use and utility out of this. If for some reason you want to function that is not offered, there is a company that makes hot shoe adapters that convert the camera signals from one brand to another.I almost forgot to mention this has all the standard features like master and slave remote triggering 2.4 GHz wireless. The rechargeable batteries are amazing and allow for very fast recharge and mini mini flashes before you need to change batteries. The unit a come includes two batteries and a charger. And I think these are actually compatible with the Godox batteries. So if you have some of those flashes I think they will work interchangeably. Don’t quote me on that.

Loved it until it died...but this one may have a h
Update (11/19/12): Bumping my review to four stars. Since I posted my previous review, the company has made an impressive effort to get in touch with me and remedy this. First they offered to send a replacement part, indicating that the issue was with one part of the machine (some sort of card) that, if replaced, will make the noise machine work again. Unfortunately, we had already tossed the sound machine, thinking it was a lost cause after trying to get it to work for a few weeks (before I posted my review and got a response from the company). I'll abbreviate the story from that point on, but basically, after they didn't hear from me for several weeks about the replacement part, they followed up again today. I let them know I didn't need the part since I no longer had the non-working machine, and they offered to send a whole new machine. Also of note, the person I spoke with indicated they're now using a different supplier for the part that was causing the problems, so it sounds like they may have addressed this on a macro level.Once I receive the replacement noise maker and test it out, I'll update this review again. Assuming it works, I'll bump up to five stars, both for the noise machine itself (as I mentioned below, we loved it) and the level of customer service I've experienced after making my issue known.***I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband who is a very light sleeper and needs background noise. We live in the city and, at the time, our bedroom windows faced a busy street, so noise was a problem at all hours. This machine did the trick -- the sounds were soothing (we used the ocean setting most often) and they played on a long loop. I couldn't ever tell when the loop restarted. My husband loved it and it helped us both sleep through the night, since the horns, trains, drunk people yelling, and traffic were all much less noticeable. After about a year, the machine started making a weird noise every now and then, almost as if the music loop was "scratched" in one part. It was jarring and annoying but it didn't happen too often so we dealt with it.Then we moved to a new place. I wrapped the machine up carefully and transported it in a tote bag. It wasn't damaged, but when we plugged it in, nothing happened. Prodding it, pushing its buttons, turning on and off -- nothing worked. It was just done, after less than two years of use.So, your $150 will get you a great-sounding noise machine, but if my experience is the norm (and it would seem from several other negative reviews that it might be), it only gets you that great noise machine for a year and a half or so. In my opinion, for that much money, this thing should last for several years. Buy at your own risk.

Horror Junkie's Review: Worthy of Carpenter. A mod
Here is a true horror film lover's film (as in film, not just a movie), very reminiscent of the crafting in Halloween in its time: excellent choices of camera work, attention to setting and detail (a nod to the juxtaposition of the banality of ordinary suburbia with the later part in the decrepit city), and a compelling image(s) to bring to life a simple yet effective story and ratchet up the tension at the same time. (That's the greatest compliment coming from me, as Halloween is my favorite film, if I were forced to pick only one). The story hinges around a small group of teenagers that are being stalked (well, really only one is- the rest are trying to help) by an entity in different guises, all equally grotesque. The music, though nothing iconic like Carpenter's theme, enhanced the mood. I have not seen a solid horror film that engaged me throughout in a long, long time, a mature, effective one that is faithful to its story (thematically original and entirely within the domain of horror- which is not the same as gore). A film that relies entirely on competent camera work and acting to drive the tension home. And yes, there is plenty of tension, though I'd say it was sustained well but it did not climax. While the ending was quite interesting; it seemed like a pause more than an ending. (That's not a complaint). his film harkens back to the good old days! Nothing pulled me out of the story, nothing I had to excuse just to get a cheap thrill, like a story we've heard a thousand times, told through irritating dialogue, contrived performances, usually idiotic, unrelatable teenagers, and overreliance on cheap jump scares. Because of that, I rounded up to 5. In the old days, I likely would've rated it a 4.5, simply because I wanted more to chew on: e.g. about the curse, like how did that guy know he could pass it on. Still, that may have weakened it, so the jury is out. Its just something that gnawed at me. Some things are best left unsaid, without watering down the experience with thought. Keep it visceral. Perhaps this is one of those. Much like the why and how of Myers did not matter. Horror is ultimately about the depths of the unconscious, firmly planted in irrational territory. Anyhow, I am amazed. I'd given up hope for something like this to emerge in the sea of detritus that has become horror. Thank you.
