Great battery. Better pairing. Bass heavy. Bt 5.0 baby!
These little earbuds are pretty awesome.Reasons they perform better than similar looking buds that sell for about half the price:+ the battery last significantly longer, yet they are almost exact same size+ they pair much quicker and reliably both with my iPhone and with each other (r/l stereo). This is probably most noticeable reason they work better.+ they use Bluetooth 5.0. This technology is pretty dope. If you have older phone it will work just fine but to see the benefits from 5.0 you need a iPhone 8, s8 or other new gadget. iPods use older 4.2 bt as of this review! 5.0 transfers data at around 2Mbs up to 800ft, it’s lower energy, and apparently it pairs quick and reliably. Apparently 5.0 allows dual streaming, meaning if you have 5.0 bt source for music, you can send that music simultaneously to two sets of 5.0 bt headphones. I haven’t tried that to know if these support that, but the standard should allow it.+ the tap controls for volume and pause/play/skip are more intuitive and more responsive than my other ones. The not so great and how I work-around:- these bass eq is pushed way too hard for my tastes. These are not $300 in ear monitors, they are entry level ear buds, and like most speakers aimed at this market, the bass response is tuned like Bose. I remove the rubber nub completely when listening to podcasts, and the issue goes away.- how modified the rubber nub to reduce bass to my preference for music: AT YOUR OWN RISK, you can try what I did. To be clear I just poked a hole through the rubber and did NOT modify actual earbud at all. I took my second favorite included rubber nub I didn’t mind destroying and stuck a safety pin straight through just below the hole center and ripped through both the inner and outer rubber, leaving a tiny tear about half as wide as the hole opening (when rubber nub is seated on earbud, the tear runs parallel to the plastic seam on the earbud plastic housing). After making the rip, the rubber doesn’t even look ripped unless you pinch it. Said another way, I created a port to let some bass escape! If you are a deaf maniac on public trans who plays music as loud as your device goes, I assume the bleed this creates will be heard even more annoyingly by people sitting near you, and those looks people are giving you are not imagined—that is malice—but you clearly don’t care about other people’s personal space anyhow, so win-win. Lol.
