I got this as a quick release for a gimbal (DJI Ronin-S) and it works great except for one flaw. The piece is sturdy and more than tough enough for the job, but the baseplate had about 1/4" of wiggle room that allows the camera to rock back and forth during tilting motions. There is no danger of the camera falling out and when it is level it won't move at all. But anything beyond about a 20 degree tilt forward or back can cause a jarring shift that will mess up your footage when the camera slides in the quick release.
