Probably it uses SMR so don't expect good performa
I bought 2TB external drive for backups (2N1AP5-500), unfortunately writing speed drops to 12-20MB/s while backing up huge files. I assume when the internal RAM buffer is full and the drive has to do actual writes then SMR technology comes up with it's limits.smartctl and hdparm can't fetch anything about this drive by USB.

Best drive one can have
Best drive one can have. It comes with micro usb as well as usb port providing ease of use. It also comes with inbuilt vault whivh is awesome.

Works great for me.
I like that the holder is sturdy enough for use everyday. I have it high enough on the vent that I can record the road as I drive.

Good drive for MacBook Pro
I use this to transfer files to and from my Macbook Pro with USB-C - It works great. The slide latch is easy to use, and latches in place at each end so that you can push the drive into the computer. It doesn't seem too flimsy - I've had this kind of slide drive break and no longer latch, but I'm not too worried about this one. I had a lanyard from an old USB drive (remember when they all used to come with one?) and I'm glad I added that to the drive.
