Perfect first mic for your “big” camera
This mic hits way above its class. It sounds surprisingly good. It’s not a perfect microphone, but there’s nothing that’s measurably better without paying 5x as much. And for the size, accessories, build quality, and thoughtful engineering it’s an excellent purchase.Even for still photographers that occasionally shoot video, it’s worth it. I shoot stills 90% of the time. Whenever I’m going out and not using a flash trigger in the hot shoe, I’ll put this mic in there for the occasional video and it’s perfect. It makes those clips from your “big” camera sound as good as the video quality looks.
