Tripod mount
Works great in an outdoor setup. I was happy to find that its compatible with the standard camera mount (1/4"-20 threaded ). Set it on a camera tripod. After sunset it was plenty bright.

Great Mount for Tripod or Stand Alone
It is simple and easy to use, works well with 1/4"-20TPI screw mounts and if you balance it correctly the mount alone can hold a camera either horizontally or vertically.

Nice construction, holds well
Very nice construction. I am using it to mount an iPhone 7plus with a holder attached to the tripod mount and it doesn't move at all while I'm rowing, yet is easy to mainuplate when slightly looser.

Good deal
Probably best bang for your buck for skywatching. My first pair was out of collimation so I returned it. Second time they are great.One big problem is the supplied trips mount is horrible and shakes a lot, but I solved that problem by filling receded parts of the mount with jbweld and it became much sturdier. As advertised.
With lite use - it is as expected with no issues.The reviews indicating a lose camera mount may have not tightened the mount enough or have debris in between. Mine is very snug.This is a very lite tripod and may not be suitable for heavy use or professional use (duh). But has all the features I needed and at a very good price.
