I had been using an RCA digital antenna, but I didn't like the "rabbit ears" design sticking up above the TV and it was finicky to get the picture in clearly. I wanted an antenna that I could hide behind the picture above the TV and this seemed like the best choice. However, after attaching the antenna I could not get as many stations as I had before and was about to disconnect it and send it back to Amazon when I glanced at the instructions and I realized I missed a step. The instructions tell you to retune all the stations with the new antenna attached. I had not thought this necessary since I had already done that with the RCA antenna. However as a last resort, I had the TV go through the process of automatically finding and retuning all my available over the air stations. When it was done tuning I tried some station and was amazed how much better the reception was then with the old RCA unit. I was able to view six more stations that I could never get before as well. So I'm now happy with the antennas performance and I have it mounted on the wall behind the picture now wher it is out of sight. Glad I purchased it!
