Bought this for bow season and sighting in my rifle. Seems to be of good quality and lightweight. Will update after I get to use it more.

I use this as part of a rifle tripod system.It exudes quality, feels heavy duty, and doesn't have any plastic parts, which is rare these days. It's not exactly light weight, and combined with a rifle clamp and tripod, adds significantly to the weight of the gear I lug around in the field. I can't imagine how heavy this would be if it didn't have magnesium parts!As recommended by others, I un-screwed the handle from the right side of the ball head, and attached it to the left side, allowing easy adjustments with my off hand. The only problem with this is that cant/rotation in the left direction is limited. You have to make up for this by setting up your tripod with a slight left cant, so that you have a useful range of motion to level the rifle.The "trigger"/handle makes it quick and easy to make minute adjustments, and has a quality, mechanical feel to it. The quick-release lever is solid, and has a cool "safety" latch that prevents accidental release.I recently used it on a 5-day desert hiking/shooting trip, and it was subjected to dirt, sand, and many bangs against rocks. It got a bit of sand and grit into the "trigger" and ball swivel, and although it sounds a little gritty now, it never stopped working.It is not quite strong enough to hold a 14-lb. rifle at extreme angles; it will sink and creep if the rifle is past its natural balance point. This is not really a problem while in use, since you're supposed to be using your sling for tension and support.Overall, I'm impressed with the quality, all-metal construction and solid, mechanical feel of the controls.

Works really well. Very easy to make micro adjustments and locks into place. I have a 9 pound rifle attached to this head and it had no problems handling it. Very precise.

Very sturdy support for a heavy spotting scope. Use it on the rifle range to spot distant targets with no shake. Quick disconnect is a added bonus.

Needed a replacement tripod for the spotting scope we use at the rifle range to check targets & in our bay window to watch wildlife. This one is cheap but works like a charm! Would definitely buy again!

At this price I was stunned by the quality of the machine work. Very happy with this purchase. I actually use it as an air rifle tripod.
