Great sharp lens...BUT it is loud compared to othe
This lens is incredibly crisp and clear for $125. One thing that I should say, is this is the LOUDEST of all the STM lenses (i.e. 24,40,18-135,10-18) so if you plan to have this exclusively for video you may want to consider having an external microphone. Also, the focus element and speed is not as fast as the other STM lenses. My theory is that this is also the lowest at f1.8 compared to the others which are f2.8 and above so perhaps there are more optics to arrange to get to that perfect focus. It was so loud that I took it to the Canon store for them to test and they said it was normal. It surprised me because I was expecting near silent operation that I was used to on my other STM lenses. Overall though, still a great lens and would recommend. Metal ring was a nice touch for still being $125 price point.

Looks good and came on time
I bought this so I could get Christmas pictures of my nephew. All I had before this were stock lenses that came with my mom’s canon rebel t4i. This lens had much better image quality than the stock lens. The blur effect in the background looks great. I was skeptical because I don’t really buy used very often, but this was worth it.

Perfect for low light video and B-Roll
Bought this for my Canon 77d and it’s honestly one of my favorite lenses!Blurs background insanely well at 1.8 and has a super sharp image.

Amazing !!
Digital correction is applied heavily on R mount canon cameras with this lens, but the end result is excellent. It’s not perfect.. coma is obvious with Astro-photography. But for the price, TINY size and weight.. I love it !! Ditching my old 16-35 in favour of this little gem.

Why I changed my mind about IS..
I had the 70-200/4.0L but wanted to get to only three zooms all at 2.8. I've never felt IS was needed. Well, I got this lens for Christmas and have changed my mind. With the 5D's low noise at high ISO's this lens opens up new ways of shooting with availble light and not having to keep changing out to fast primes.One of Canon's great lenses, you'll not regret it.

This is easily one of the best lenses Canon has ever made for their Mirrorless system. Highly Recommend if you want this focal length.
