I suspect these Antennas are Not a Gimmick... See my Game Console Antenna Trick/Test!
Antennas like this are all over and there are FREE channels out there to pickup! Local channels mostly.I didn't get one of these antennas to find that out!I simply hooked up an old non-working game console system to the TV and ran the Antenna channel finder on my TV. I believe I received somewhere around 10 channels or more, most where very good quality. Something in the old Game Console works as an antenna. I believe I used a nonworking Atari console. I may have also done this with a Nintendo Console (NES). I have not tried any newer gaming consoles...These Antennas, being sold, may very well have a better range and clearer picture? But I did get Long Island from here and that's got to be 50 miles or more? Also at least 5 of the channels where HD quality... so I only gave them a 50/50% chance rating! So if you do have an old game console hanging around, test it by simply connecting it to the cable or antenna input (Don't think you need to turn it on?), Then run the corresponding cable or Antenna/TV channel search on your TV. That's it!
