This tripod is awesome! The first thing I noticed was the solid aluminum construction. It doesn't make the tripod overly heavy, but its solid enough that I have no problem trusting it to hold up my 3 pound lens and body. Plus, there's a nifty hook at the bottom of the center post that lets you hang a backpack or some other kind of weight off of to make it totally solid. The ball head is super smooth and the plate screws onto my camera body securely. The height of the tripod is really nice too, and with the legs extended I don't have to crouch over to look in my viewfinder. The monopod feature on the leg is cool as well, although I don't know how much I'll use it. The only complaints I have would be that the plastic leg extenders feel a little cheap, and the feet of the tripod could use some extra grip instead of the smooth slick rubber. Other than that, this is a great item for the price, and I highly suggest you pick one up if you're thinking about it!
